Ahn Bo Hyun was born on May 16, 1988, in Busan, South Korea.

Ahn Bo Hyun also received awards for his acting roles. He won the Best New Actor award for his role in Kairos, the Rising Star Actor award for his role in Itaewon Class, and the Excellence Award, Actor in an OTT Drama award for his roles in Yumi’s Cells and My Name.

Aside from being an actor and model, Ahn Bo Hyun also ventured into hosting and variety shows.

In this drama, Ahn Bo Hyun showed his charismatic side as he played the strong soldier. His strong physique and stature are perfect for the role of a soldier. Also, his role in this drama helped with his popularity.

Her Private Life, 2019

Her Private Life is about the story of Sung Deok Mi (played by Park Min Young), a talented chief curator of an art museum. Aside from being a working professional, Deok Mi is also a popular fansite manager of a K-pop idol.

In the drama Her Private Life, Ahn Bo Hyun played the role of Nam Eun Ki, Sung Deok Mi’s (played by Park Min Young) childhood best friend.

Although playing a supporting role and a second lead, I must say Ahn Bo Hyun perfectly showed his adorable charm in this drama. There really was a second lead syndrome once you saw him!

Playing the role of Jang Geun Won, the heir to the Jangga Group, in Itaewon Class, Ahn Bo Hyun slayed the villain role very much!

Kairos, 2020

Kairos follows the story of two characters who are from the past and future. The two worked together to change their lives.

Ahn Bo Hyun played the role of Seo Do Kyun, a team leader at Yoo Seo Il Construction, a company where Kim Seo Jin (played by Shin Sung Rok) works. His role as Seo Do Kyun is a vital role in the drama as he is involved in the characters in the story.

My Name, 2021

Netflix original series My Name follows the story of Yoon Ji Woo (played by Han So Hee), a member of a drug gang, as she joins the police department to know the reason for her father’s death and to take revenge for him.

Ahn Bo Hyun played the role of Jeon Pil Do, a skilled detective in the narcotics department. He then worked with Yoon Ji Woo when she entered the police. His role as Jeon Pil Do is very significant as he helped in unfolding the plot.

In this drama, he also showed his fighting skills which is important to a police officer.

Yumi’s Cells, 2021-2022

In the drama Yumi’s Cells, Ahn Bo Hyun played the main lead role of Goo Woong.

Yumi’s Cells follows the story of Kim Yu Mi (played by Kim Go Eun), an ordinary single working woman who has tiny cells in her brain that help her with her emotions, troubles, and decisions. She then met Goo Woong and the two became a couple.

This is Ahn Bo Hyun’s first leading role in a drama and I must say he did a great job! He made me fall in love with his character, Woong, and how he acted the character is very effective. Ahn Bo Hyun as Goo Woong is so adorable and lovable!

With the success of the first season, Yumi’s Cells was renewed for season 2 and Ahn Bo Hyun is still a part of the cast!

Military Prosecutor Doberman, 2022

Military Prosecutor Doberman follows the story of a lawyer named Do Bae Man (played by Ahn Bo Hyun). He tries to seek a job at multiple law firms but he is failed to do so due to his low educational background. He eventually met lawyer Yong Moon Go (played by Kim Young Min) who offered him a lawyer job but he needed to be a military prosecutor for 5 years first.

He then became a military prosecutor and with the help of Cha Woo In (played by Jo Bo Ah), they break down the evils in the military together.

Ahn Bo Hyun’s role as a military prosecutor showed how he is a very versatile actor. He was able to play the roles of a lawyer, prosecutor, and military soldier effectively.

See You in My 19th Life, 2023

See You in My 19th Life tells the story of Ban Ji Eum (played by Shin Hye Sun) who gets reborn multiple times in her life and remembers all of her past lives.

In her 18th life, she met a boy named Moon Seo Ha (played by Ahn Bo Hyun). But when she was 12 years old, she unfortunately passed away.

Now, in her 19th life, she is reborn once again and still remembers Moon Seo Ha and tries to look for the now-adult Moon Seo Ha. The two met again and Ji Eum stayed by Seo Ha’s side until she was living her 19th life.

Flex x Cop, 2024

Ahn Bo Hyun’s latest drama acting role was in Flex x Cop wherein he played the role of the immature chaebol Jin I Soo.

Despite his childish personality, Jin I Soo decided to do something that was much more serious than his personality. He became a police detective under the police violent crimes team. He was hesitant to do this role at the beginning, but eventually, he learned the ways of the police and found his heart in the field.

Jin I Soo uses his intelligence, wealth, and connections to solve crimes and arrest criminals.

I must say, this is my favorite acting role of Ahn Bo Hyun because he played it so well! The role of Jin I Soo is really made just for him! He was able to showcase his versatile acting and strong physique in this drama.
