Through the years, Hyolyn has lent her voice to many K-Dramas, and it’s truly an experience watching the series while listening to her sing in the background. Each of her OSTs have received much love from the viewers, earning her the label ‘OST queen’.

Let’s look back on Hyolyn’s precious OSTs that made us appreciate and love K-dramas even more:

1. Because It’s You (Glory Jane)

This is the first OST that Hyolyn worked on. It is a ballad song that highlights her unique voice and conveys the feeling of yearning felt by the protagonists.

“Glory Jane” is a 2011 KBS drama starring Park Min Young, Chun Jung Myung, and Lee Jang Woo. It is a sports and rom-com series about an aspiring nurse and a baseball player.

2. Crazy of You (Master’s Sun)

This song gives off a bittersweet feeling with its melody and Hyolyn’s stunning vocals. In August 2013, it was ranked first on Billboard’s “K-Pop Hot 100” chart.

It was also nominated for “Outstanding Korean Drama OST” at the Seoul International Drama Awards and “Best OST by a Female Artist” at the Seoul International Youth Film Festival in 2014.

“Master’s Sun” is a 2013 SBS drama starring So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin. It is a fantasy and rom-com series about a woman who sees ghosts and finds safety when touching the hand of an arrogant CEO.

3. Hello, Goodbye (My Love from the Star)

This song is a pop ballad that features Hyolyn’s enticing and sorrowful vocals. The OST achieved an all-kill from different music charts online. It was also nominated for “Best Original Soundtrack” at the 2014 Korea Drama Awards.

“My Love from the Star” is a 2013 SBS drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. It is a fantasy and rom-com series about an alien who has been living on Earth for 400 years and falls in love with a famous actress.

4. Come a Little Closer (Warm and Cozy)

This song is a ballad about love that showcases Hyolyn’s deep and calming vocals. It promotes the protagonists’ chemistry in the show.

“Warm and Cozy” is a 2015 MBC drama starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Kang So Ra. It is a rom-com series about healing from life’s challenges and failed relationships, written by the Hong sisters.

5. I Miss You (Uncontrollably Fond)

This song is a ballad that gives off so much emotion through Hyolyn’s expressive vocals.

“Live Up to Your Name” is a 2017 tvN drama starring Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong. It is a medical and fantasy series about a modern doctor traveling to Joseon with a traditional physician.

9. Clock (Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me)

This song has a pop melody with a distinct arrangement. It conveys the feeling of kilig that people get when they start a relationship.

13. Began (Gaus Electronics)

This song has a refreshing and bubbly sound that features Hyolyn’s lovely vocals. It’s the track that comes to mind when you think of the show’s kissing scene.

“Gaus Electronics” is a 2022 ENA drama starring Kwak Dong Yeon, Ko Sung Hee, Kang Min Ah, and Baek Hyun Seung. It is a workplace and comedy series based on a webtoon of the same name.

14. Fade Away (Under the Gun)

This year, Hyolyn has released yet another beautiful OST entitled “Fade Away.” It is a melancholic song for the noir series starring SF9’s Zuho and Jo Soo Min – “Under the Gun,” a youth and romance drama about the son of a professional poker player and a girl from a rich family.
