Kim Sejeong and Kang Tae Oh confirm to star in upcoming historical romance drama!
The K-drama pairing we never knew we needed!
On January 8, MBC revealed their drama line-up for this year and confirmed that Kim Sejeong and Kang Tae Oh will star in the upcoming historical romance series, The Moon Flows in this River.
The Moon Flows in this River is a drama that depicts the story of a crown prince who has lost his laughter and a woman who experiences memory loss. It is described as the “historical version of Secret Garden.”
Kang Tae Oh portrays the role of an unhappy crown prince, Lee Kang, who lost his queen and seeks revenge for it. His path crosses to Park Dal Yi, who resembles the late queen, and mysteriously switches bodies with her.
Kang Tae Oh debuted as an actor in the 2013 web series After School: Lucky or Not. He starred in the series The Tale of Nokdu, Run On, Doom at Your Service, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. This series is one of his most anticipated works following his military discharge last year.
On the other hand, Kim Sejeong will play the role of Park Dal Yi, a woman who switches bodies with the crown prince for an unknown reason.
As an actress, Kim Sejeong landed her first lead role as Ra Eun Ho in School 2017. She is remarkable for her roles in the dramas, I Wanna Hear Your Song, The Uncanny Counter, Business Proposal, and Today’s Webtoon. She recently starred in a rom-com series, Brewing Love. The Moon Flows in this River marks her first historical series.
