Minho’s Lucky Chois will always be his fans, a throwback
The first month of 2024 is almost over. Time sure flies fast, right? We are done celebrating the New Year and soon Valentine’s Day will greet us once again.
Browsed through my phone and revisited the photos I have taken same time last year and it’s the memories of the second event I went to cover for Annyeong Oppa, Choi Minho’s Lucky Chois Fan Meeting in MOA Arena.

“We are so lucky to have camera phones now. Otherwise, I can remember this fun night in my mind only. This sure is the best time to be a fan.” These are my thoughts while reliving the moments of that event. In an instant, it felt like being inside the arena again.
Min Ho looked dashing in a barong tagalog and wowed his fans by being so game in dancing the pandanggo sa ilaw. He’s a natural in what he does and to see him immersing in our culture is such a fun thing to see. That night, we did not only see him as an idol but a great actor also when he re-enacted some of the iconic scenes from Alchemy of Souls and Descendants of the Sun.
His fan meeting was full of activities and he proved that even in the company of Shawols, he is still very competitive. A game is a game and he can’t just let anyone to win easily.

“Lucky moment for me is when I go to far distances to meet people i love, like you.”

He’s been in the industry for more than a decade now and this chance encounter showcased the different dimensions of Choi Min Ho: a good looking guy who can sing, dance, act and make his fans’ heart swoon in so much admiration of him.
The Manila stop of his fan meeting witnessed his strong presence on-stage when he performed his new songs Runaway, Chase and to our surprise, a medley of Shinee’s hits! He also gamely accepted the challenge to dance in Sarah G.’s Dati Dati too!

“If I were to runaway, Philippines is the best place to runaway to. Warm weather, warm people.”

It warmed our hearts to hear this from him. You are always welcome to come back, Min Ho.
And we won’t forget your promise, that the next time you return to Manila, you’ll bring the rest of Shinee with you.
Event covered by Hey Noona for Annyeong Oppa.
