7 things ARMY can expect in “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”
“The BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star” is a docuseries streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting December 20. It promises a raw and honest look into BTS’ ten-year journey from unknown underdogs into the world’s biggest group today.
The members have always been open with their experiences — this is evident from the episodes of Bangtan Bombs to the yearly Memories DVD compilation. But even so, there are still some things fans haven’t been able to see. Through this docuseries, BTS’ fans (ARMYs), will be able to watch exclusive footage and new interviews with RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook that covers the band’s past, present, and future.
Here are some things ARMY can expect to see in “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”:
Practice videos
It’s common for K-pop groups to record their dance practices for a different perspective on their performance. In “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”, there is a chance we may even get some pre-debut content!

The members’ graduations
Most ARMYs are familiar with Jung Kook’s graduation ceremony in Bangtan Bomb where BTS is in complete attendance! In “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”, there will be glimpses of other members’ graduation days, like RM’s. Perhaps we will see the other members’ graduation ceremonies in this series?

Early showcases
In the beginning, BTS used to perform at small shows and meet a handful of fans. They would take quick naps in the car while traveling from one event to another. ARMY will get to see more clips from those simple days in “BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”!

Old dorm moments
Before, all 7 members of BTS shared one tiny room measuring 17 tsubo or pyeong (56 square meters). ARMYs may find it familiar — it’s where BTS celebrated their 1st debut anniversary. We might see new footage from that time!

Stories behind the selfies
BTS members love sharing glimpses of moments into their lives, thus the overabundance of content on their social media accounts. They sometimes even tell the stories behind the photos. This series might give insights into the story of some of their photos! One scene in the trailer shows Jimin explaining to the camera how he ended up taking a viral selfie in 2013.

That one fan meeting in 2013
In 2013, a small fan meeting was held for the celebration of Christmas, and the birthdays of Jin and V. Cameras weren’t allowed, however, BigHit did film the event. Perhaps there will be a glimpse of said fan meet in the docuseries?
Under lockdown
BTS was able to give light and hope to the rest of the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were able to release “Dynamite”, “Life Goes On”, “Butter”, and “Permission to Dance” during this time. Fans will surely be emotional while watching, as it includes footage from the “Map of the Soul Tour” era.
