Korean mystery thriller “Maestra: Strings Of Truth” coming to Disney+ this December 9!
What happens when a highly accomplished conductor leaves her New York life in hopes of reviving a struggling Korean orchestra? Will her past threaten her present? Find out in “Maestra: Strings Of Truth”, a new Korean mystery thriller coming December 9 to Disney+!
Cha Seeum has been a visionary violin player ever since childhood until she swapped her bow for a baton. She became one of the world’s most accomplished conductors, as traveled from Seoul to New York City. After a successful career, Seeum returns to her homeland when she realizes her past is about to be exposed. She attempts to revive Seoul’s failing Han River Philharmonic Orchestra while seeking out who is threatening to expose her secret.
“Maestra: Strings Of Truth” is produced by CJ ENM’s production powerhouse Studio Dragon. It is written by Hong Junghee (The Taste of Curry, Changall’s Birthday) and is directed by Kim Jeongkwon (Ditto, Lie After Lie). The series features Lee Youngae (Dae Jang Geum, Lady Vengeance) as famed conductor Cha Seeum; Lee Moosaeng (The Glory, The World of the Married) as Seeum’s former partner Yoo Jungjae; Kim Youngjae (Reborn Rich, Stranger 2) as Seeum’s husband Kim Phil; and Hwang Boreumbyeol (The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, The World of My 17) as Lee Luna, the young concertmaster of the Han River Philharmonic.
