A special night with specialTY, Ok Taecyeon

Ok Taecyeon was a gift that kept on giving!

The night started with Taecyeon performing ‘Magic’ by his group 2PM and his song ‘Anyway’. It was followed by him greeting the fans in Filipino! He said, “Hello. Ako ay si Borta Taecyeon. Na-miss ko kayo talaga. Welcome po lahat dito sa ‘SpecialTY’ ngayon. Sobrang masaya ako na ang simula ay ngayon dito sa Pilipinas. Sobrang masaya ako na makita kayo Hottests.” Then, he introduced Kring Kim as the MC for the fanmeet (still in our language!).

It was amazing of him to learn the language for a very personal greeting to his Filipino fans. It seems like his favorite word now is ‘borta’, meaning macho/muscle man, a word that he learned from his press conference the day before! (Hahaha)

Taecyeon relayed his gratitude to the fans for spending their precious time with him. It’s been 10 years since the last time he was in the Philippines and he feels the great response, hospitality, and love. He mentioned wanting to stay longer and coming back very soon.

After the greetings, Taecyeon participated in segments that revealed more stories about him. He was so game in answering all the questions, even in doing a lot of cute poses, and was very active in interacting with his fans.

Very special segments came after where Taecyeon had to pick post-its on a board and he willingly did some requests from the fans, including taking selfies and hugging him.

He then performed ‘Vampire’ by Park Kang Hyun which is the OST for his drama ‘Heartbeat’. It was his first time performing the song.

Fans were surprised and touched when Taecyeon sang the OPM song ‘Forevermore’ by Side A, showcasing his sweet voice. It was a special moment when he asked the fans to sing and he was so happy to hear everyone singing beautifully. He said he will prepare something new when he comes back.

Next up was him giving more gifts to his fans! He made a very personal cup and even coffee on a special tumbler for the pre-selected winners which were also personally delivered by him to their seats.

He also gave the crowd his very own morning call in Filipino, perfect for everyone’s alarm every morning. (Gaganahan na kayong pumasok sa paaralan at trabaho nyan, diba mga bes?)

A fan-made video was shown on the screen which made Taecyeon overwhelmed with feelings and thanked the fans for the support.

The fans shouted for 2PM and with this, Taecyeon said that it’s gonna take some time for all of them to come back but he promised that they would come back. *fingers crossed*

For his last songs, Taecyeon performed ‘Toc Toc Toc’ (with the participation of the fans), ‘Champagne’, and ‘Promise (I’ll Be)’. He performed ‘Jump’ and ‘Hands Up’ for the encore.

I was in awe of his relationship with the fans as it truly showed the special bond between an idol and his supporters. He had the best fan service the whole night.

He is funny, playful, and adorable. His lovely personality, aside from his talents, good looks, and hotness *wink*, made us love him even more.
