After a year of its announcement, the trailer of the upcoming K-drama Strong Girl Nam-soon has finally been released.
The story follows Kang Nam-soon (played by Lee Yoo Mi), a girl gifted with super strength who returns from Mongolia to find her parents in Gangnam. Finally, she meets her mother and grandmother, Hwang Geum Joo (played by Kim Jong Eun) and Gil Jung Gan (played by Kim Hae Sook) who also possess super strength.
The three of them work together to stop the villainous drug lord, Ryu Si Oh (played by Byun Woo Seok) from committing more crimes. As part of the drug crime investigation, private investigator Kang Hee Sik (played by Ong Seong Woo) is also investigating the case.
Strong Girl Kang Nam-soon is the sequel to the 2017 K-drama, Strong Woman Do Bong-soon which was top-billed by Park Boyoung and Park Hyungsik. Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon will follow the story of Do Bong-soon’s distant cousin who also has the power of super strength.
The casting of the upcoming K-drama was confirmed last May 27, 2022. The drama will star Lee Yoo Mi, Ong Seong Wu, Byun Woo Seok, Kim Jong Eun, and Kim Hae Sook.
JTBC also released official posters of the main characters for the upcoming drama.
Strong Girl Kang Nam-soon is produced by JTBC (same as the prequel) but will be released internationally on Netflix this October 7, 2023.
