RECAP: The Global Launch of BTS Book, “Beyond the Story” on ARMY DAY!
It feels like yesterday when ARMYs celebrated their 10th birthday!
ARMY was established as BTS’ fandom name on July 9, 2013. ARMY is an abbreviation for Adorable Representative MC For Youth. The military is represented by ARMY, and BTS is the armour that protects them.
In celebration of their 10th anniversary and in partnership with Apop Books, ARMYs gathered at four different locations last July 9, 2023 for the global launch of BTS book, Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS and the celebration of ARMY Day.
The event started at Quantum Skyview, Gateway (7am), and continues at Robinsons Manila at 10am (hosted by Bangtan Freebies and Armyyah Philippines BTS), Ayala Malls Vertis North at 2pm (hosted by ARMY Connect PH), and at Glorietta 2 Activity Center at 5pm (hosted by BTS PH – Bangtan Boys Philippines).
Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS is a special book which contains the history of the record-breaking K-pop boy band, written by Kang Myeong-seok and the BTS members themselves.
ARMYs were joined by Team Apop, Sir Agno Almario, Mr. Oliver John Quintana, Ms. Kyung Min Bae, and Ms. Bernalyn Sastrillo with host, Ms. Yam Tolentino.
Team Apop were able to share their own BTS story which included Sir Agno Almario’s story of how the book Jungkook read, entitled “I Decided to Live as Me” started APOP Books.
It was definitely a very special and memorable day for both BTS and ARMYs.
