Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo to star in a mystery series, ‘The Trunk’
On July 17th, Netflix announced that a new series will be released featuring Korea’s A-list talents Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin.
The story will revolve around unforeseen events and secrets after a trunk is found in the depths of a lake.
Seo Hyun-jin will play the role of In-ji, an employee of a matchmaking organization.
Meanwhile, Gong Yoo will portray the role of Jeong-won, a lone music producer who finds himself in an unexpected marriage contract with In-ji.
Jeong-won meets his second wife’ In-ji through a contract-based marriage service set up by his ex-wife Seo-yeon.
In-ji and Jeong-won’s lives will turn upside down when a strange trunk discovered in the lake sends them into secrets and events surrounding the matchmaking agency.
The story is written by Park Eun-young of Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and directed by Kim Gyu-tae, renowned for his work in Our Blues.

Seo Hyun-jin is known for excellently performing in Another Miss Oh and The Beauty Inside.
On the other hand, Gong Yoo gained worldwide fame for his roles in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and Netflix’s Squid Game & The Silent Sea.
