'The Moon' starring Sul Kyung-gu, Doh Kyung-soo, soon in Philippine cinemas

PHILIPPINES, July 7, 2023 – Preparing to launch! “The Moon”, one of Korea’s highly anticipated films of the year, will be coming to Philippine cinemas near you starting on August 16, 2023.

The Moon is an emotional, epic-action film directed by Kim Yong-hwa, one of the most prominent directors in Korean cinema. It stars veteran actor Sul Kyung-gu as Dr. Kim Jae-goo and EXO member Doh Kyung-soo as Hwang Sun-woo who is an astronaut stranded in space. Award-winning actress Kim Hee-ae will also appear as Yoon Moon-young.

The story goes with an explosion that occurred on board during Korea’s first manned mission to the moon. A second human spaceflight was launched seven years later but malfunctioned due to a strong solar wind. With astronaut Hwang Sun-woo becoming stranded in space, the Naro Space Center turns to its former managing director Dr. Kim Jae-goo in hopes of bringing Sun-woo back home safely.
