‘To the bone’ singer, Pamungkas wrapped up his Birdy SEA Tour

Have I ever told you? That Pamungkas, singer of To The Bone, one of the most streamed songs on Spotify and one of the most famous songs on Tiktok concluded his Birdy Southeast Asian Tour in Jakarta, Indonesia last February 24, 2023.
Pamungkas headlined his first (sold-out) stop for Birdy Southeast Asia Tour in the Philippines last August 06, 2022, at 123 Block Mandala Park, Mandaluyong.
Pamungkas, together with his band—thepeoplepeople, roamed around Southeast Asia for the release of his 4th album ‘Birdy’ starting in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and lastly, 12 cities in Indonesia.
I had a chance to watch two of its shows in different countries and I must say those two tour hits differently. Seeing him for the first time in the Philippines made me feel like I’m on cloud nine. Finally, the person who unconsciously helped me during my trying times is in front of me singing songs that lessen my anxiousness. The warmth I felt the moment he sang is breathtaking.
While watching him in Indonesia, and interacting with Indonesian fans basically showed me how he really is as an artist. I got goosebumps hearing everyone singing at the top of their lungs, most especially his songs in Bahasa. He is really a sought-after artist and genuinely loved by his fans. You can really never go wrong with your home court. It was an exceptional concert for me. A core memory I will forever treasure.
The decision to come and watch in Indonesia is not a decision I needed to think twice about. It may sound a bit impulsive but I’m very much sure that I need to be there. I need to be part of this history, of his history and to watch two shows in different countries is a very big achievement for me as a fan. Some might say it’s too much, but nothing’s ‘too much’ when it gives you the peace that you’ve been longing for so long.
Pamungkas or mas Pam, is known for his song ‘To The Bone’ which trended on Spotify and Tiktok last 2020 until today, 2023 but with his new album, Birdy, Pamungkas offers songs that are about thriving in life that most of us, who are undergoing ‘adulting’ as they call it, can relate the most.
This album also includes healing songs that you can always listen to every time you feel gloomy, or when you just want to feel comfort. His songs speak for the things you wanted to hear, and feelings you don’t discuss with anyone. They will be releasing a documentary about the tour containing memories of each country and city, and the whole process of its success.
Pamungkas is not the type who tries hard to please anyone. Besides being a singer-songwriter, he just simply does his craft, he allows himself to commit mistakes and learn from it and that is when people see his genuineness and love him for that.
I must say, he is surrounded by great, talented, and supportive people (his family, the peoplepeople, pamunqsquad, his managers, and everyone in Mas Pam team) and that is also one of his greatest edges.
I can’t wait to see and hear him live again here in the Philippines (hopefully this year *crosses fingers*). Or maybe, in Indonesia once again.
