Watch: “My Roommate Is Gumiho” releases fun teasers starring Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong

“My Roommate Is Gumiho” is the newest tvN drama that will soon hit the airwaves, featuring Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Jang Ki Yong.

Based on a popular webtoon, entitled “Living Together”, “My Roommate Is Gumiho” is a fantasy drama that tells the story of Lee Dam (Hyeri) and the 999-year-old nine-tailed fox, Shin Woo Yeo (Jang Ki Yong).

Shin Woo Yeo is a handsome and smart professor that collects human energy and stores it inside the marble, with hopes to become human one day.

The plot unravels when Lee Dam accidentally swallowed the gumiho’s marble.

By this, the two will face complications – one, the marble can only stay inside Lee Dam’s body for a year, before it breaks. Two, if it happens, Shin Woo Yeo will forever lose his chance to be human. In order to find ways on how to solve their problem, Shin Woo Yeo suggests that they should just live together.

Will the two develop a special romance while cohabitating? Given that Lee Dam has never had a boyfriend in her life?

Meanwhile, tvN releases a series of fun teasers ahead of the drama’s premiere.

The teasers follow how the two are taken aback by each other’s personality, as they start living under one roof.

Furthermore, the newly released teaser shows the two contemplating on how they would call each other. Lee Dam started on by saying “I’m 99-liner Lee Dam. What year were you born in?” in which Shin Woo Yeo answered that he was born in the year 13 under Hyeonjong of Goryeo, making their age gap a whooping 977 years.

More into the scene, Lee Dam showcase her wits as she tries to call Shin Woo Yeo as “Halmiho” (grandpa and gumiho wordplay) in which he comically refused.

In the end, Lee Dam playfully calls him “Eoreushin” meaning an elderly person. Shin Woo Yeo smiles brightly showing the satisfaction on his new name.

The anticipation is high for this drama as it’s director is Nam Sung Woo. His works include “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo“, “Kill It” and “Kkondae Intern”. While the writers Baek Seon Woo and Choi Bo Rim are known for their work in “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?

“My Roommate Is Gumiho” is set to premiere on May 26 at 10:30 pm KST.
