K-Drama Recommendation: Come and Hug Me

“Come and Hug Me” is a drama by MBC aired on 2018 starring Jang Ki-Yong, Jin Ki-joo, Heo Joon-ho and Kim Seo-hyung.

This is a heart-wrenching story that reminds me of the drama, Uncontrollably Fond. It expresses a love that’s so beautiful but can’t bloom because of the people around them. If you don’t know Jang Ki-yong, after this drama, you will never forget his name. 😊

I love how the young characters of Chae Do-jin/Yoon Na-moo (Na Da-reum) and Han Jae-yi/Gil Nak-won (Ryu Han-bi) really resembles their Old versions Chae Do-jin/Yoon Na-moo (Jang Ki-yong) and Han Jae-yi/Gil Nak-won (Jin Ki-joo).

The story revolves around Yoon Na-moo and Gil Nak-won’s innocent love for each other in high school and how Na-moo’s father, Yoon Hee-jae (Heo Joon-ho) separates them in the most brutal way. As they part and  live on under different names, their paths cross once again giving them another chance. But the chance offered to them was never easy because of their past that just won’t let go, especially the reporters.

If you hated Kim Seo-hyung in Sky Castle you will hate her even more here as she plays the role of Park Hee-young. A reporter who writes, but not by facts. Watch how the two lovers tries their best to survive. Would they be given a second chance in love?
