Glittering Rays of Light in Busan

As part of our Busan Mega Fam Tour, we are fortunate to witness Busan Fireworks Festival 2018, special thanks to Korea Tourism Organization-Manila and Busan Tourism Organization for inviting us.

The Busan Fireworks Festival takes place every October along Gwangalli Beach. The festival’s different programs of cultural events, high-tech laser light shows, unique and colorful fireworks will surely entertain people of all ages. It is one of the most significant fireworks festivals in Asia. The first festival was held to commemorate 2005 APEC Busan Summit. Then yearly after that, millions of Koreans and foreigners visit Busan to witness this fascinating event.

We went to the venue 4 hrs before the start of the show so we can have the best spot for viewing the fireworks. Going early is necessary particularly if you are a ticket holder because seating area are closed already by 6:00pm and late comers will not be allowed to enter.

Most people prefer to watch at the beach so they can get a closer view. You can the festival from there for free as it is located outside the perimeter of the seating area.

To avoid the hassle, some people go to nearby mountains or check-in at hotels around Gwangalli beach and watch the fireworks from hotel’s rooftop.

While waiting for the fireworks display to start, we took some photos of the beautiful Gwangalli Beach and enjoyed the cool autumn ocean breeze.
