Hallyu or the Korean Wave is indeed very popular in the Philippines. Even though we’re busy with school or work, we always find time to ‘Fangirl/Fanboy’ over K-related stuff. Nowadays, even our very own Pinoy/Pinay celebrities are into Hallyu. Some of them are expressing their love through their SNS accounts.
Here are some of Filipino celebrities who showed some love for their favorite K-Pop/K-drama stars:
1. Iñigo Pascual (GOT7)
If we think of a Filipino celebrity k-pop fan, Iñigo would probably the first celebrity that comes up on our mind. Recently, he declared his admiration for JYP Entertainment’s K-Pop Group GOT7 when a fan asked him on twitter about his ‘bias’ group. Without any hesitation, he mentioned the said group. He was also a fan of EXO, BTS, etc.
2. Liza Soberano (BTS)
K-Pop Fans especially BTS A.R.M.Ys are amazed when actress Liza Soberano joined the fandom and express her love for BTS. Back then, she tweeted “BTS as in Behind The Scene?” out of curiosity. Now, it’s official. She’s now an A.R.M.Y.
3. Ella Cruz (Blackpink)
We can’t deny that Blackpink is one of the hottest girl groups nowadays. Even our very own celebrities are gushing over these four talented girls and one of them is Ella Cruz. She’s a known k-pop fan and a Blackpink stan. We’ve seen her posting her fangirl feels over Blackpink through her social media accounts.
4. Anne Curtis (Blackpink and Gong Yoo)
It’s not just Ella Cruz, we also have another famous BLINK and it’s our beautiful unnie, Anne Curtis.
Before becoming a Blink and K-pop fan, she’s just a k-drama fangirl who was a super fan of Gong Yoo. She even went to Gong Yoo’s fan meeting in Hongkong to see him personally. Ultimate fangirl goals! <3
5. Vice Ganda (Park Bo-gum and Jinyoung)
Do you remember the iconic birthday greeting of Jinyoung to Vice Ganda on his birthday episode of Gandang Gabi, Vice?

During that time, Vice Ganda was a fan of Love in the Moonlight starring Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung and Jinyoung. Vice expressed his admiration for Bo-gum, Jinyoung and their characters as well.
6. Jed Madela (BTOB)
Jed is one of the powerhouse vocalist here in Philippines. So, it’s not impossible for him to like the K-Pop group BTOB who are known as the “King of Ballads”. He admitted that he’s not a k-pop fan before but when he tried listening to BTOB’s songs, he was amazed and became an instant fan of the said group.
He even made a cover of BTOB’s Way Back Home. Amazing!
7. Glaiza De Castro (Dean, Park Hyung-sik and Big Bang)
This kapuso actress is also a certified K-Pop and K-drama Fan. We all know that she loves Big Bang especially G-Dragon and korean rapper, Dean. She even posted a video on her IG account during Park Hyung-sik’s Fanmeet here in Manila.
8. Sharon Cuneta (NCT, Twice and Gong Yoo)
Who would’ve thought that a veteran actress like the megastar herself will join the fandom? Well, it’s possible mga bes. Ms. Sharon became an NCTzen because of her daughter who’s also an NCT fan. That’s when she started posting her feels about NCT on her personal IG account.
On her GGV Guesting, she told Vice Ganda that she also likes Twice. She even taught Vice how to dance Ala Twice members!
And she also loves Gong Yoo! Well, who doesn’t? ^^
9. Giselle Sanchez (Lee Jong-suk)
I personally witnessed this mga bes! We felt her overflowing feels on Lee Jong-suk’s Crank Up Fan Meeting last November 18 at the Araneta Coliseum. She hosted the said event and made it more lively and energetic. She even made Lee Jong-suk laugh and smile. <3

10. The Kramer Family (iKON)
For an iKONic, they are considered as a lucky fans right now especially Kendra and Scarlet. It was really their Yaya who’s a big iKON fan. Now, the two kids and even the whole family are now an iKON fans because of her. They even went to the group’s first concert here in Manila last November 11. And guess what? They met Bobby! Goals! ^^
