Annyeong Oppa Features: KCC’s ‘Korean Culture Caravan’
Korean culture is one of the trends nowadays. Most of the Filipinos are really fond of anything related to Korea and it’s culture. That’s why Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines organized an event in which people especially students will get to know the Korean culture in a fun yet educational way. The Korean Culture Caravan went to seven public high schools that offer a Special Program in Foreign Language – Korean. And their last stop was the Maligaya High School here in Novaliches, Quezon City. It was held yesterday, 7th of December 2018. The event was hosted by ShowBT’s Artist Paul Kim.
KCC Philippines’ Director Jincheol Lee tackled about the history of Korea, the Korean flag, Language and some traditions of Koreans.
He also talked about the ‘Hallyu’ or the Korean Wave which includes Korean Pop Music and Korean Dramas. (And the crowd went HYPED. ^^)
KCC also prepared some booths which allowed the teachers and students to experience the culture of Korea. They have film and documentary screenings, cooking demos, ‘hanbok’ wearing booths, etc.
They also invited the winners of 2018 Pinoy K-pop star vocal category, Venisse Sy who sang the OST of a hit K-drama, Go Back Couple and 2ne1’s Lonely. They also have John Paul Manuel who showed his vocal skills by singing Winter Letter which was also sang by B1A4’s Sandeul. And ofcourse, the winners of dance category also showed their amazing dancing skills.
One of the highlights of this event was the special performance of ShowBT Philippines’ First Filipino Idol Group SB19.
On behalf of Annyeong Oppa team, we would like to thank KCC Philippines for making this event possible. And ofcourse, to Sir Charles Kim and ShowBT Philippines for inviting us to be a part of this amazing event. 정말 감사합니다!
