Drama Review: ‘Clean With Passion For Now’ Episode 8

If you’re looking for a romantic-comedy drama with a twist, this drama is for you mga bes!

Honestly, i chose to watch this because of Kim Yoo-jung. I really admire her since Love In The Moonlight. This is her comeback drama so i decided to give it a try. I am not a fan of Yoon Kyun-sang but i like him as an actor. I watched him in Doctors and Pinocchio and i must say that he did a very good job on portraying his role but i never imagined him as a male lead in a rom-com type of drama. So i expected alot from him. And Song Jae-rim, i got to know him on the movie, On Your Wedding Day but this is the first time i’ve seen him in a k-drama.

Did you know that Ahn Hyo-seop was supposed to be the male lead of this drama? Yes, he was the original Jang Seon-kyeol but he decided to drop the role due to the conflict of schedule.

I’m happy that Yoon Kyun-sang accepted the role and gave justice to it. Through this drama, we’ve seen the versatility of him when it comes to acting.

THE MOMENT OF TRUTH

Mga bes! This review contains some screenshots that can spoil you if you haven’t watch the latest episode.

Read At Your Own Risk. ^^

On last night’s episode, after she decided to quit on her job at the cleaning company, Gil Oh-sol (Kim Yoo-jung) was hired by Ms. Kwon (Yoo Sun) as a live-in housekeeper for her boss, Jang Seon-kyeol (Yoon Kyun-sang) and at the same time, to help him overcome his Mysophobia.

(Gil Oh-sol’s new hairstyle though. ^^)

Ofcourse, Seon-kyul didn’t approve at first but his soft side for Oh-sol made him agree to let her stay. If you are watching this from the very first episode, we all know that Seon-kyul doesn’t allow anyone to stay or sleep in his house even his own mother (Kim Hye-eun). Well, i think it’s because he’s afraid of getting a second hand germs from his visitors. ㅋㅋ

Suprisingly, he also let her mom sleep in his house for the very first time which made her very happy. (Aww… I want to see a cute mother-son interactions between them. ^^)

And the Kilig Moments starts here…

I can’t imagine that my baby Kim Yoo-jung is now filming an intimate (But still wholesome) scene. She proves that she’s not a baby anymore but a stunning leading lady who’s ready to conquer the k-drama world. (No i’m not crying ㅠㅠ)

I also love the personality of Seon-kyul’s mom here. Even though her son is not treating her well, she’s not giving up on pursuing for his son’s affection.

But ofcourse, every good drama comes with a not-so-kind family member who will become the obstacle of the main leads’ blossoming romance.

I really don’t understand the fact that he actually hired Oh-sol to help Seon-kyul overcome his fear of germs and the fact that he knew that his grandson likes Oh-sol. (Harabeoji! Just think of your grandson’s situation first! Gigil mo si ako ‘e! hahaha!)

Sadly, Oh-sol left with no choice but to hide her feelings for Seon-kyul and turn him down. But our daepyonim won’t just sit back. This last scene made me scream from kilig. Let’s admit that this kind of scene is not very common in K-dramas. When Seon-kyul uttered these words, i can feel that the next episode will be difficult for both Seon-kyul and Oh-sol as they fight for their feelings towards each other against his grandfather.

“Clean With Passion For Now” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 21:30 KST on JTBC.
