7 times Byeon Woo Seok stole our hearts as Grand Prince Lee Ahn in “Perfect Crown”
Perfect Crown is one of the best rom-com dramas we have watched this year!

Perfect Crown is set in a reimagined modern-day Korea that operates under a constitutional monarchy. A touching romantic comedy series that depicts the romance between a chaebol heiress named Sung Hee Joo and a prince named Lee Ahn.
We really can’t deny the fact that Byeon Woo Seok pulled off his role as Lee Ahn in the series perfectly, portraying the prince role and showing great charm that stole the hearts of many! Let’s take a trip down memory lane and relive those unforgettable moments when Byeon Woo Seok, as our beloved Prince Lee Ahn, made our hearts skip a beat!
1. The First Kiss

This scene in episode 4 is so funny and so kilig at the same time. It is when Grand Prince Lee Ahn kissed Hee Joo because there was someone taking photos of them. What’s funny is when Hee Joo told Lee Ahn to do it again because she thought the person who took the photos of them didn’t get the best angle. But what really gets me is the way Lee Ahn looks at her with that sweet smile afterward. The way he gazes at her absolutely melts my heart!
2. The Waltz Scene

The Waltz Scene in Episode 6 is one of the series’ most iconic scenes. It is not only about the dance but also about the heart-fluttering proposal of Grand Prince Lee Ahn to Hee Joo, where he knelt while holding Queen Ui-hyeon’s ring, his late mother’s. This is so romantic!
3. First Night as Married Couple

This scene is from episode 8, where Hee Joo and Lee Ahn shared their first night as a married couple, lying side by side and cuddling in each other’s arms. Lee Ahn said, “First night together as a married couple, are you ready?” teasing Hee Joo, and then smiled. I was grinning from ear to ear while watching this scene. Also, this is the scene where Hee Joo kissed Lee Ahn on the lips, and Lee Ahn kissed her back on his forehead. It was the sweetest thing ever!
4. Yacht Scene

In the latter part of Episode 6, there’s this Yacht Scene where Hee Joo and Lee Ahn share tender and heart-fluttering moments. They recreated the iconic Titanic flying pose and then fell, and then, for the second time, they kissed! But this time, it’s only the two of them. I love this scene so much because they both showed their genuine feelings for each other, and Lee Ahn allowed himself to act on what he felt. What happens afterward is very funny because they were so awkward, feeling shy about what happened.
5. Car Crash

I have to include this scene, because why not? In the latter part of Episode 4, Grand Prince Lee Ahn sacrificed himself by bumping into Hee Joo’s car so that she and his nephew would not get hurt. It’s a selfless act of love towards Hee Joo; in this moment, he chose to protect her even at the cost of his life. This is real love!
6. The Reconciliation

One of my favorite scenes! It is from Episode 10, where Hee Joo said, “I like you, too,” to Lee Ahn. At the beginning of the episode, she has to say she wants to divorce him because she wants to protect him, and it was really heartbreaking, but this time, Hee Joo followed what she truly felt and came over to Lee Ahn and reconciled with him with a kiss! The way Lee Ahn passionately kissed her back is such an unforgettable one. They are so adorable!
7. Final Sweet Kiss

The cutest scene of all! The final episode features Hee Joo and Lee Ahn’s final kiss at a baseball game, where they openly show their love for each other without worrying about the palace rules. They are living a happier and more peaceful life as individuals and as a couple as well. My favorite part was when Lee Ahn said “I love you” to Hee Joo. That was so sweet!
There are a lot of moments when Byeon Woo Seok stole our hearts in the series. Which episode is your favorite, bes?
