Crunchyroll adds ‘Tougen Anki,’ ‘Horror Collector,’ ‘Dreamland,’ and more to Fall lineup

In case you missed it! Streaming platform Crunchyroll is expanding this year’s Fall lineup with more anime series!

“Urban legends come to life, nightmares become new worlds, and an ancient supernatural war reignites” are some of the themes in the new addition of anime series this October.

The updated lineup now includes the following: “Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc,” “Horror Collector,” and “Dreamland.” 

Other anime series to include in your watchlists are “Dandivine” and “Full Clearing Another World Under a Goddess with Zero Believers.”

Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc 

The story follows Oni and Momotaro in a world where they have been locked in conflict for generations.  High school dropout Shiki Ichinose (played by Kazuki Ura) discovers that he is an Oni when everything shifts after a mysterious man attacks him and his father. Shiki must learn how to harness his powers to seek revenge after being dragged into a “dark and bloody secret war.”

“Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc” will be available starting October 2. It is directed by Ato Nonaka and produced by Studio HIBARI.

For Southeast Asia viewers, there are subtitles available in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Horror Collector 

The anime, which is a Crunchyroll exclusive, is about a boy named Fushigi, wearing a red hood, who roams around the country in search of urban legends that have come in physical form in his notebook.

His goal is to chase a mysterious girl named Himitsu, who seems to be the reason these legends appear to life. A human-faced dog named Jimmy travels with him, and Fushigi keeps running into one strange supernatural event after another as he closes in on Himitsu.

“Horror Collector” will be available starting October 10. It is produced by Studio Palette.

Dreamland 

The story is about Terrence, who secluded himself and lived without emotion in this world after his mother died in a fire. He goes through his teenage life with a blank expression… with one exception – fire. The sight of a flame throws him into terror, pulling him into his worst nightmares. Every time he falls asleep, he relives the tragedy, which only fuels his phobia of fire.

Then one night, he can’t take it anymore and stops running from the flames. By facing his greatest fear, he becomes a Traveler, a special kind of Dreamer who can explore Dreamland, “the dimension born from all of mankind’s dreams and nightmares.”

“Dreamland” will be available starting October 16.

Dandivine 

It follows the story of the combining robot Dandivine, which has been 20 years since it defeated the mysterious enemy Aposdoll. Genjuro Shijima, president of toy manufacturer Kasuga, now wants the resurrection of Dandivine even if it disrupts world peace. Aposdoll suddenly reappears in Tokyo, causing panic. 

Dandivine seeks to answer the following questions: What is the goal of Aposdoll? Can Kasuga reclaim its place in the toy industry?

“Dandivine” will be available starting October 7. It is produced by Good Smile Company and Liden Films.

The subtitles available are Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, Vietnamese, and Traditional Chinese.

Full Clearing Another World Under a Goddess with Zero Believers 

The story is about Makoto Takatsuki (played by Sohei Horigane), a hardcore gamer, and his classmates are thrown into a world of gods, magic, and monsters after a bus crash.

Every newcomer gets strong stats and skills, except Makoto. He ends up as a weak apprentice mage. When a minor goddess with no followers asks him to be her first believer, he agrees. Together, they use clever tactics to conquer a world that is stacked against them.

“Full Clearing Another World Under a Goddess with Zero Believers” will be available starting October 11. It is directed by Toshiki Fukushima, and its animation production is HORNETS.

The subtitles available are Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
