According to the reports on January 29, writer Moon Ji Won is currently working on the script for Extraordinary Attorney Woo season 2.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a 2022 critically acclaimed heartwarming legal drama that tells a story of a lawyer named Woo Young Woo with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who has an IQ of 164 and works at the Hanbada law firm.

The drama’s finale gained an average nationwide rating of 17.5 percent, the highest for an ENA drama to date. Following the drama’s success, demands for a second season continued.

Writer Moon signed a scriptwriting contract in 2023, and the Production company AStory initially aimed to produce Season 2 in 2024.

However, delays in script writing have pushed back the casting schedule. Actress Park Eun Bin, who played Woo Young Woo, stated in an interview last year that she hasn’t received any contact regarding casting yet.

Alongside Eun Bin, Kang Tae Oh, Kang Ki Young, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Hoo Jong Hyuk also starred in the first season. Attention is focused on whether they will reprise their roles in this drama.

Filming can begin as soon as pre-production, including scriptwriting and casting, is completed.

According to AStory representative, they are currently pursuing remakes in the US, Japan, and Europe, and they plan to directly oversee the entire process, from pre-production to adaptation and programming, overseas. This global project could accelerate the production of Season 2.
