Hwang Min Hyun confirms return to "Study Group" Season 2!

Are you ready to meet Ga Min and the Study Group squad again for its second season?

It was revealed by the Study Group production team on January 27 that Hwang Min Hyun is confirmed to reprise his role as Yoon Ga Min in the series. They commented, “Hwang Min Hyun already has a perfect understanding of the character.” They also said that the fans can expect new appearances and even more spectacular action that they haven’t seen in season 1, such as the reason why Ga Min wanted to study so well, and the dilemma.

Study Group is a webtoon-based drama that tells the story of Yoon Ga Min, a student who is only good at fighting. He forms a “Study Group” to improve his grades and get into university. On May 12, 2025, Studio Dragon confirmed the drama’s return.

Hwang Min Hyun initially gained attention as a member of idol groups, namely, NU’EST and Wanna One, from 2012 to 2022. He had his successful solo debut with the mini-album Truth or Lie, led by the title track, Hidden Side in 2023.

He is not only a great singer but a great versatile actor as well. He started his journey in acting and debuted in 2016 with the Japanese film Their Distance. In 2020, he made a small-screen debut with the coming-of-age series, Live On. He rose to stardom when he played Seo Yul in a fantasy series, Alchemy of Souls. He also starred in the 2023 series, My Lovely Liar.

Last month, Min Hyun successfully completed his military duties and now back to captivate us with his charm and talents once again!
