From the very beginning, Kangin stood out as a performer who carried both charisma and heart. His journey into the spotlight began on November 6, 2005, when he officially debuted as part of the 12-member project group Super Junior. Appearing on SBS’s Popular Songs, the group electrified audiences with their debut single “Twins (Knock Out)”, instantly marking Kangin as a name to watch in the growing K-pop scene.

But Kangin was never content with staying in just one lane. In February 2007, he showcased his versatility by joining Super Junior-T, the group’s trot-focused unit, embracing a genre deeply rooted in Korean musical tradition. A year later, he revealed yet another side of himself as part of Super Junior-H, where his brighter, more playful energy came to the forefront.

That same year proved pivotal in another way. Kangin made his silver-screen debut in Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, the Super Junior film that premiered on July 26, 2007. The movie allowed fans to see him not just as an idol, but as an actor willing to explore new creative ground.

Offstage, Kangin’s natural charm made him a favorite on television. Shortly after debuting, he became a regular on MBC’s variety show Image Survival, quickly earning recognition for his wit and relatability. His talents as a host soon followed, as he led popular MBC programs such as Sunday Sunday Night – Dong-An Club and Nothing Is Impossible, further cementing his place as an all-around entertainer.

Though his journey with Super Junior eventually came to a close—with his official withdrawal from the group on July 11, 2019, following a hiatus that began in 2015 but Kangin’s story was far from over. Continuing his contract with SM Entertainment, he quietly prepared for a new chapter, one shaped by reflection, growth, and reconnection with fans.

That new chapter came into full view in April 2025, when Kangin held his first solo fan meeting, Inside Out Day, in Mexico. Hosted at Foro Bailmex in PALCCO, Zapopan, Jalisco, the event was especially meaningful, not only for Kangin, but for international fans as well.
