Our Doctor Romantic season 1 couple, Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin, are going to reunite in an upcoming drama!
On December 4, MBC revealed its 2026 drama lineup, which includes the drama “Liar,” for which Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin have previously been in talks to join as the main leads.
Liar depicts the story of a man and a woman who had their perfect first date but take a sudden shift the next day as they each make contradictory claims about what occurred.
Seo Hyun Jin will transform into an essay teacher at an arts middle school named Kang Ji Seon.
Hyun Jin is known for her impeccable acting skills and has starred in dramas such as Another Miss Oh, Temperature of Love, The Beauty Inside, Why Her, The Trunk, and has an upcoming series, Love Me, which is set to premiere on December 19.
On the other hand, Yoo Yeon Seok will portray the role of a cardiothoracic surgeon named Min Jun Ho. After losing his wife, he is now the only one taking care of his middle school student son, who turns out to be Kang Ji Seon’s student. As his path crossed hers, he started to feel the spark that he hadn’t felt for a long time.
Yeon Seok is a versatile actor who is known for his series, Warm and Cozy, Mr Sunshine, Hospital Playlist, Narco-saints, The Interest of Love, and his popular series, When the Phone Rings, which ended earlier this year.
Moreover, Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin showed overflowing chemistry as Kang Dong Ju and Yoo Seo Jung, respectively, in the first season of Doctor Romantic.
