INFINITE’s Jang Dongwoo builds a pure “Connection” with Filipino INSPIRITs during his fan-con in Manila!

INFINITE’s Jang Dongwoo has finally come back to the Philippines after 10 years, for his first solo fan-concert in Manila, “Connection,” held at the SM North EDSA Skydome last August 25, 2025. He previously went to the country for the group’s “INFINITE Effect in Manila” last 2015.

Entering the stage with his groovy songs “TGIF” and “Romeo,” Dongwoo was met with loud cheers that showed how much Filipino INSPIRITs wanted to see him again for so long. “INSPIRIT, mabuhay! Ako po si Jang Dongwoo,” he greeted, to which the audience replied “Hello, we are INSPIRITs!” in Korean, following the tradition INFINITE has always practiced with their fans.

“Since we met after a long time, I really missed your voices,” Dongwoo said. The artist shared that he felt the Filipino fans’ passion when he arrived at the airport, and that he was touched by the meals and presents given by them.

With soulful performances of tracks from his debut mini-album, “News” and “Gun,” Dongwoo showcased his striking vocals and charismatic stage presence. INSPIRITs then had a lively time with the “Ddoddo Stagram” segment, where Dongwoo shared some images during his stay in the Philippines. With this, he talked about trying kare-kare, having dinner at a night market, taking a photo with a mascot and a statue of Jollibee, and working out in the hotel.

Dongwoo once again brought up the energy with his performance of “Party Girl” and an unreleased song “Checkmate” (unofficial title), which he revealed will be included in his upcoming comeback mini-album in November. One highlight of the evening was the “2025 JDW Awards” segment, where fans were given a quiz about Dongwoo, and the lucky winners had the chance to receive a signed poster directly from the artist and have interactions up close!

Giving the fans a pleasant surprise with covers of female idols’ songs, Dongwoo performed his own version of “Sugarcoat” by KISS OF LIFE’s Natty and “UP” by AESPA’s Karina. This showed Dongwoo’s impressive skills as a total performer and that he can truly pull off various concepts with ease.

After concluding the official setlist of the concert with “Something Between,” Dongwoo returned for an encore with “Perfect.” To make the night more memorable, Dongwoo came down the stage and went around the concert venue, handing out roses to fans while singing INFINITE H’s “Special Girl,” and INFINITE’s “Cover Girl” and “Man in Love.”

Meanwhile, INSPIRITs prepared hand banners, a cake, and a surprise video project for Dongwoo. The artist expressed his gratitude and shared that he learned a lot from the fans’ messages in the video.

To end the show, Dongwoo performed INFINITE’s “Be Mine,” with INSPIRITs singing along enthusiastically. That night, Dongwoo really poured all his energy to make up for the 10 years that Filipino fans missed him. “Until the day I come back, please remember our infinite connection,” he said.

Special thanks to Three Angles Production for making this event possible.
