Lee Jun Hyuk successfully held his first-ever “Let Me In” fan meeting in Manila!

Filipino fans have finally met their beloved Milky Vanilla Angel, Lee Jun Hyuk!

Newport Performing Arts Theater was filled with loud cheers as Filipino fans gathered to see their beloved star, Lee Jun Hyuk and create memorable memories with him at his first-ever “Let Me In” fan meeting in Manila last June 29.

Everyone felt so kilig, including me, when the song Test Me by Paul Blanco, one of the OSTs of his hit drama, Love Scout, started to play, and everyone felt more kilig when Daddy Yu, Lee Jun Hyuk, finally stepped onto the stage looking so dashing in his black checkered suit. “Kumusta po kayo, Ako si Lee Jun Hyuk” he greeted us while waving hi to the crowd.

He said the first time he went to the Philippines was when AAA was held in 2023, and now it’s his second time; he’s so grateful for the warm greetings. When Denise Laurel, the host of the event asked him about the beautiful scenery he have seen so far when he arrived, he responded that he wasn’t able to see beautiful views since he arrived late night but looking at the fans at that moment made him feel happy and said, “I think this is the most beautiful view ever.”

A Filipino welcome is not complete without Filipino food. Halo-halo was served to him, and he gave it a taste. He said it looked so pretty and tasted so delicious. he even said, “masarap” while eating it. We enjoyed seeing him and eating that delicious food. He shared that when there’s a chance, he would like to watch a film inside the beautiful cinema and eat the seasoned potato that he saw the night he arrived in the Philippines.

We learned so much about him through this event, among those are- he loves boxing and thinks that if there’s a chance to get hit with our Pambansang Kamao, Manny Pacquiao, that would be an honor to him, he is not only a great actor but also an author, he published book called, “Hello, Popcorn” based on his mobile game with the same name, he shared after his dog, Popcorn passed away, to fill the emptiness in his heart, he started to write the book. Since many fans are supporting it, he said his heart is filled and he thinks that Popcorn is happy up there in heaven. Jun Hyuk gave one lucky fan a signed copy of it. He is so sweet!

Lee Jun Hyuk made the fans fall for him even more when he starred in the hit series, Love Scout, and the kilig feels went back again when some of the heart-fluttering scenes played on the big screen. He also shared some backstories behind every scene. When asked about how similar he is to his character Yu Eun Ho in real life, he said he is an organized person like Eun Ho.

Some of his lucky fans reenacted some of the scenes from the drama. We were so shocked when he lifted fans, showing off how strong his muscles were just like when he lifted Ji Yoon on their romantic scene on Episode 8. Other fans got the chance to play a game with him and noticed their hand-written messages; it was such a memorable experience for them. he is so generous that he granted some of the wishes of the fans, and he loves his fans so much.

He reenacted dialogue from the drama, the scene where Ji Yoon asked him, “How much do you remember?” on episode 5, and Eun Ho replied to her, “How much do you want me to remember?”. We were so surprised because he said that line in Tagalog, “Hanggang saan mo gustong maalala ko?” he also said that in English. He is so good, and we love his speaking voice so much!

He also revealed some stories behind the scenes in the drama that made the hearts of the fans skip a beat. He said, that when filming Ji Yoon and Eun Ho’s first kiss in episode 7, they only had one chance to take that scene because they had to control the crowd in the area, but because he is good and everyone did their best, it turned out very well in just one take.

Jun Hyuk also shared a story about their kiss scene on episode 8, he said it was very hot that day. “Emotions are really important in this kind of scene but there are also a lot of techniques included in this scene.” It turned out to be a very romantic scene because of his techniques. He is such a very good actor!

Moreover, Lee Jun Hyuk serenaded everyone with Kim Dong Ryul’s Like a Child. While singing he said, Salamat po and Mahal Kita. He came back on the stage wearing his suit in Love Scout, channeling his Yu Eun Ho to us, he looks so handsome! He even went down to greet all of his fans, waving and smiling at us, what a fan service Jun Hyuk!

To show their great appreciation to Jun Hyuk, fans prepared a video message and a hand banner for him. Jun Hyuk said he was so touched by the heartwarming gestures of the fans. For his last message, he said, “Today is my first fan meeting in Manila, thank you so much for your warm welcome. Please stay healthy and see you again. Mahal kita“

Everyone also had their chance to see him up close in a hi-bye session, he looks like an angel, he is glowing, and he is so charming in person. We are so happy to finally meet you in person, Jun Hyuk. We felt your genuine heart towards your fans, and because of that, you deserve all the love in this world. We love you and we hope to see you again soon! Thank you for this precious memory, we will cherish this forever, we love you our Milky Vanilla Angel!
