“Twelve” starring Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, and other star-studded cast members is coming to Disney+ this August!

An action-packed fantasy series with star-studded cast members is coming this August to Disney+!

Twelve depicts the story of twelve zodiac guardians who fought against evil spirits and sealed them away to save the human race, a long time ago. In the modern era, only a few of those guardians remain, working odd jobs to protect individuals, but when the evil spirits have awakened from their seals, the twelve guardians will be brought together under Taesan’s leadership to save modern-day Seoul and the Korean peninsula from being consumed by darkness.

Ma Dong Seok, who previously appeared in the films Badland Hunters and The Roundup: The Punishment, and the American film Eternals, plays the role of Tae San, the leader who represents the tiger of the 12 guardians.

Park Hyung Sik is now entering his villain era and transforms into an evil spirit that has awakened from its seal, Ogui, representing a crow. Hyung Sik recently starred in Treasure Island.

Other star-studded cast members include Seo In Guk as Won Seung, who represents a monkey, Sung Dong Il as Ma Rok, Lee Joo Bin as Mir, who represents dragon.

Go Kyu Pil, Kang Mina, Sung Yoo Bin, Ahn Ji Hye, and Regina Lei will star as guardians Don Yi representing the pig, Gang Ji representing the dog, Jwi Dol representing the rat, Mal Sook representing the horse, and Bang Wool representing the snake, respectively.

The series is penned by Kim Bong Han, who previously worked on The Golden Holiday, and Don Lee, and is helmed by PawnHarmony director Kang Dae Kyu, and Han Yun Seon, who previously worked in the film 18-Eighteen Noir.

Stream Twelve starting August 23 on Disney+.
