KCC Philippines Shines Again as One of the World’s Most Outstanding Korean Cultural Centers

Just a year after its last recognition, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC Philippines) is once again named among the world’s most outstanding Korean Cultural Centers.

During the 2026 Overseas Korean Cultural Center Directors and Cultural Attachés Conference, held last March 10 to 13 and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, KCC Philippines once again took center stage, earning recognition as one of the world’s most outstanding Korean Cultural Centers. This annual gathering aims to bring together directors and cultural attachés from Korean Cultural Centers worldwide to exchange best practices, strengthen cultural diplomacy, and align future strategies to promote Korean culture internationally.

KCC Philippines was recognized as one of six outstanding Korean Cultural Centers globally, distinguished for its strong performance, creative programs, and lasting cultural impact. Through its wide range of initiatives in arts, language, food, film, and lifestyle, the Center continues to make Korean culture more accessible and relatable to Filipinos.

Director Kim Myeongjin expressed his appreciation for the recognition, highlighting the Center’s direction moving forward. He noted that the award reflects the strong cultural ties between Korea and the Philippines, and shared that this achievement is one he attributes to their Filipino partners and audiences. He added that the recognition motivates the Center to continue developing programs that further strengthen cultural connections between the two nations.
