“Gold Land” starring Park Bo Young, Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Kwang Soo and more is coming exclusively to Disney+
Another crime-thriller series is set to captivate viewers with its mind-blowing plot on Disney+!
Gold Land tells the story of Hee Ju, who accidentally came into possession of gold bars from a smuggling organization. She finds herself on the run from some of Korea’s most dangerous men.
Following Park Bo Young’s exceptional portrayal of nurse Kwon Young Ji in the hit 2024 webtoon-based series, Lightshop Keeper, Park Bo Young takes the role of Kim Hee Ju, a determined security screening officer at an international airport desperate to escape her past.
NO WAY OUT: The Roulette star, Kim Sung Cheol, takes the role of Jang Wook (a.k.a Woogy), a member of the criminal organization chasing Hee Ju and someone who lived in the same neighborhood as her when they were young.
Moon Jeong Hee transforms into Kim Hee Ju’s mother, named Yeo Sun Ok. Lee Hyun Wook is Park Bo Young’s romantic partner in the series, and an airline co-pilot named Lee Do Kyung, who lures her into the possession of gold bars.
Other star-studded cast members include Lee Kwang Soo as Director Park and Kim Hee Won as Detective Kim Jin Man. Lee Kwang Soo also starred in NO WAY OUT: The Roulette, while Kim Hee Won successfully made his debut as a director in the Disney+ series, Lightshop Keeper.
The series is penned by Oldboy screenwriter Hwang Jo Yoon, who also worked in the films Rampant and Memoir of a Murderer, and is directed by visionary director Kim Sung Hoon, who previously worked in the series, Chief Detective 1958, and the 2017 film, Confidential Assignment.
