AO EXCLUSIVE: Song Joong Ki is happy to meet PH Ki Ailes, talks about his acting career and partnership with IAM Worldwide
PH Ki Ailes finally met their beloved star, Song Joong Ki, at his first-ever fan meeting in Manila.
Known for his irresistible charm, versatility, and down-to-earth personality, Song Joong Ki has captured hearts worldwide. He started his acting career in 2008 through the film Frozen Flower. He rose to stardom when he played the role of Gu Yong Ha in the 2010 series Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
Song Joong Ki has captivated the hearts of many through his stellar performances in his hit dramas, Descendants of the Sun, Arthdal Chronicles, Vincenzo, and Reborn Rich. His Filipino fans have eagerly waited to see him in the flesh, so they were thrilled when they found out that he is finally coming to Manila for a fan meet.
Before meeting his Filipino fans at his first-ever fan meeting, “IAM SONG JOONG KI: LIVE IN MANILA” proudly presented by IAM Worldwide, an exclusive press conference was held on May 24 at Conrad Manila where Joong Ki shared what he feels about meeting his Filipino fans, his acting career, and his partnership with IAM Worldwide.
He greeted everyone, “Kumusta? Magandang hapon, kamusta po kayong lahat I’m Song Joong Ki”
About meeting his Filipino fans
According to Song Joong Ki, he visited the Philippines 15 years ago for a vacation, and this is his first time in Manila. He shared that he has some Filipino friends in Korea through his friend, and when he stays in Italy with his wife, they also have some Filipino friends there. The image of Filipino people to him is so kind and friendly, so he really wanted to visit Manila.
He really wants to enjoy the Philippines because he hears that there are beautiful islands here, but sadly, he has to leave the day after the event. So next time, he wants to come for a family vacation and visit the local places like supermarkets and restaurants.
His acting career
Song Joong Ki is known for his seamless acting and took a wide range of roles in different genres. When asked about the character he wants to portray in the future, he said that when he did his movie called ‘A Werewolf Boy’, he really enjoyed it and was dreaming of portraying a vampire role next time.
He also said that if he were not an actor, he thinks he would be doing something related to the entertainment industry, like a producer or a content creator. He thinks as an actor, thinking positive things about pressure is a big help for him.
On the other hand, Vincenzo is one of Joong Ki’s hit series, and he was so surprised after finding out that the drama is also popular in the Philippines. He said he also loves his Vincenzo character so much and really enjoyed filming it. “I think I have to call my writer and director. They have to shoot and make a season 2 of Vincenzo.” We are looking forward to that, Joong Ki!
His partnership with IAM Worldwide
Song Joong Ki is the newest brand ambassador of IAM Worldwide. When asked about what he feels about being the headliner for the brand, he responded that he feels very happy and honored to be part of this family. He pointed out that the products of IAM Worldwide are so delicious and healthy, and as the ambassador, he wants to promote great products from it.
He expressed his gratitude to IAM Worldwide for this opportunity, and through them, he was finally able to meet his Filipino fans.
The press conference wrapped up with his heartfelt message, “I am really happy and excited to be here in Manila for the first time. I’m really sad that the schedule I have here in Manila is quite short but next time, when I visit Manila, I’ll make sure that I have enough time to enjoy and go to different places, cities, and islands of the Philippines.” He hoped that everyone would enjoy the event, “Always be healthy and always be happy. Salamat,” he concluded.
Through the press conference, we felt his genuine heart towards his fans and his family. He said his family is his happiness, and spending time with them is healing for him.
