Relive Two Days of K-Beauty Magic at the ‘K-Beauty Glow-Up!’
Last April 25–26, 2025, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines and the Korean Tourism Organization Manila (KTO) hosted K-Beauty Glow-Up! — a two-day event at SM Aura where K-Beauty enthusiasts enjoyed booth activities, free makeovers, color analysis, exclusive talks from beauty experts, and exciting freebies.
Opening Remarks: Speeches, the Influence of Korea, and More!
The event was launched on April 25, 2025, where Ambassador Lee Sang-hwa of the Korean Embassy gave his opening remarks while Sec. Christina Garcia Frasco of the Department of Tourism gave her congratulatory remarks. Filipina actress, singer, and honorary ambassador for Korean Tourism, Kyline Alcantara made a special appearance at the event!
Experiencing K-Beauty, Korean Travel, DIY Korean Craft Activities in Exciting Booths!
Exciting booths from Korea Tourism Organization Manila (KTO Manila), Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the bom, Jennyhouse, Amorepacific (the brand behind Laneige, Innisfree, and Mise-en-Scène), KCC Philippines, Samsung, and the When Life Gives You Tangerines photobooth brought joy and unforgettable experiences to guests!
Guests received samples and freebies, enjoyed a free personal color analysis & hair makeovers, crafted their own hyanggi (traditional Korean fragrance), took photos at the When Life Gives You Tangerines -inspired photobooth, where they could dress up as Gwan-sik and Ae-sun, and have their photos taken at the Samsung’s booth while crafting DIY phone charms.
Exploring Exclusive K-Beauty Secrets from the Pros!
The event was hosted by Zarri Gizelle, with K-beauty tips and live demonstrations taking the spotlight.
Amorepacific also gave a quick talk, highlighting their booth offerings and recommending must-try makeup and skincare products.
Korean beauty service, the bom held a short lecture on color analysis, gave advice on choosing colors that complement your skin tone, and performed a live personal color demonstration.
Meanwhile, Filipina makeup artist Chuchie Ledesma, a scholar at the Jung Saem Mool Art & Academy, shared insights and experiences from her studies at the renowned makeup school. Jennyhouse also gave a live hairstyling session and makeup demonstration, featuring a special appearance by Angela of KAIA.
With a two-day event filled with exciting booths, expert-led demonstrations, and exclusive opportunities to immerse in K-beauty and Korean culture, K-beauty lovers will surely treasure this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
