IU and Byeon Woo Seok deny rumors of dropping out of their upcoming drama!
IU and Byeon Woo Seok will still reunite in the upcoming romance drama!
IU and Byeon Woo Seok reportedly will no longer star in Wife of a 21st Century Prince on March 28 due to a disagreement regarding the drama’s distribution.
On the same day, both IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s agency denied the rumors about them leaving the drama.
EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency, said that she is currently preparing for it very well, while Byeon Woo Seok’s agency, VARO Entertainment, responded that the actor will star in the drama as planned.
Wife of a 21st Century Prince depicts the romance between a chaebol heiress named Sung Hee Joo and a prince named Lee Ahn. It is set in the 21st-century constitutional monarchy of the Republic of Korea.
IU will portray the role of Sung Hee Joo, the beautiful and intelligent second daughter of a conglomerate family. IU recently starred in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines.
Byeon Woo Seok will transform into a prince named Lee Ahn who doesn’t have anything despite being the son of the king. Woo Seok is popular for his widely acclaimed 2024 rom-com series, Lovely Runner.
This series marks IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s reunion after working together in the 2016 series, Moon Lovers.
