Lee Changsub’s first solo concert “The Wayfarer” has finally landed in Manila!
On March 22, 2025, BTOB’s Lee Changsub captivated our hearts at his first solo concert, “The Wayfarer” in Manila, at the Skydome SM North Edsa. It was an unforgettable and an emotional rollercoaster Saturday night.

After 13 years, Changsub is travelling to different countries as he performs solo for the first time. Changsub said this is except for the promotions he had in Japan way back in 2017.
The Wayfarer means traveller, as in how Changsub would like to go and travel to different countries. This is his way of connecting to fans and meeting them thru his concert performances.

Changsub opened the stage with an impressive performance titled “Chivalry”. We were truly in awe of how this song may seem like a musical performance. The way he belted all those high notes and still had a powerful choreography truly showed his prowess as a performer. Changsub has been in the music industry for more than 13 years.
Changsub also performed songs from his latest album 1991: “Golden Hour”, “Saturday Night”, “Stay”, “Old Town”, and “Vain Hope”. Changsub said that the song “Stay” was the longest and had the hardest time in making a song. Also, he jokingly said that songs should have no choreography, but the choreographer told him that the songs should have dance moves. (Changsub was catching his breath during this ment as he interacted with fans, Melody.)
During his ment, Changsub also mentioned that he liked the fruits in the Philippines and that he is looking forward to eating many fruits during his stay in the country.
Changsub also said that whenever he has concerts, he always say this: “The moments I sing together with you, I am greatful that I am a singer, so please continue to sing with me.” (rough trans) (Yes Changsub, we will sing with you for a very long time!)

In the next part of the concert, he also performed his songs “I guess I loved you” and “Heavenly Fate”. Also, the amazing and heartfelt cover songs of Roy Kim’s “Only Then“ and Psy’s “Refuge“.

Now here comes the exciting part of the concert!
Changsub performed his songs “BUMPBUMP” and “New Wave,” which turned the venue into a party house just like a club! The party lights are on, and Melodys are ready to jump. This was the most energetic time where everyone was just enjoying the night, partying, and jumping throughout the song. And guess what? Fans were chanting 1 more time/ Isa pa! to the song “BUMPBUMP”.
Well, Changsub couldn’t resist the crowd and went for an encore of this song! Everyone was really happy during this performance. “BUMPBUMP” was performed twice! Changsub also went down the stage to be up close to his fans, imagine how fun that was!
After the upbeat song, the next performance was a heartfelt song titled “As Always”. This was one of the best times to listen to Changsub’s acapela voice. Melody sang with Changsub on this part of the show. He also said that even when the song is in Korean language, Melody (fans) learned and sang along which was really touching. Changsub was really grateful, honored, and blessed that he was able to have a concert in the Philippines.
Changsub also acknowledged and thanked the presence of his base and electric guitarists, pianist, drummer, and dancers. Another surprise, a snippet of “Only One For Me” was sang by Changsub and Melody during the acknowledgement of the pianist. The whole concert was performed with a live band and of course, live vocals!

Melody, through BTOBPH, also had a fan project video message played on the screen for Changsub. Heartfelt messages from fans made Changsub so happy. After the video, fans threw paper airplanes with written messages to the stage where Changsub was, while singing Changsub’s song “Shelter”.

The last song performance was the song “33,” while the encore songs were “Macchiato” and “Run”.
The concert ended with almost 2 and a half hours of being happy with everyone at the venue. This was truly a memorable night for Changsub, Melody, and everyone who was part of The Wayfarer here in the Philippines. Thank you, Changsub! See you again and YEJIAPSA. ♡
