Nam Woo Hyun successfully wraps up his “Tree High School” Concert in Manila!
After 2 years of waiting, PH Sprouts and Inspirits finally got to reunite with their precious Namu!
On November 15, Nam Woo Hyun successfully concluded his “Tree High School” solo concert in Manila, held at Samsung Hall in SM Aura. Pearl metal gold ocean and green ocean illuminated the venue. It was filled with ecstatic fans who expressed their delight at seeing their beloved star once again.
Before the show started, Woo Hyun’s friend and labelmate, Lee Jun Young, made a special appearance through the VCR. In the video, he re-enacted his role in Weak Hero Class 2 as Geum Seong Je, making sure that the energy of everyone is in condition before the show begins.
Sprouts and Inspirits warmly welcomed Woo Hyun with their loudest cheers as he kicked off the show with his song, My Paradise followed by Shooting Star. “Hi! I’m teacher Woohyun,” he greeted everyone. He said after his teaching tours in Seoul, Macau, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur, he is finally in Manila for his teaching practicum, “Nice to meet you!” he added.
The fans greeted teacher Woohyun. It’s like they are actually in the class, “Good morning, teacher Woohyun, Mabuhay!” Then he replied, “Mabuhay!”
Woo Hyun showed his different charms in various performances and amazed us with his vocal prowess and his powerful dance moves. He performed Boyfriend, Everyday, Only Forward, Crying Baby, Calm & Passion, Alone, Hold On Me, Baby Baby, Love Myself, Full Moon, In 3 Minutes, and I’ll Hug You Quietly.
One of the highlights of the show was when he surprised the fans and went into the crowd to see them up close while serenading them with his songs, I Love You, California, and Flower. Woo Hyun’s fan service is top tier; he took selfies with them, gave them an autograph, and handed snacks to them. He is so kind and thoughtful to his Sprouts. Lucky fans were also able to get a present from him.
Woo Hyun said he was so excited coming back to the Philippines, and he expressed his gratitude for the warmest welcome Sprouts and Inspirits gave to him, “I am very thankful and I love you guys.” He also extended his gratitude to all the people who made the concert possible. The crowd says, “We love you, Woo Hyun,” to which he replied, “I love you, thank you.”
To show their love and appreciation for Woo Hyun, Sprouts and Inspirits prepared a fan project for him that touched Woo Hyun’s heart. “Natouch ako. Salamat po,” he said.
Towards the end of the show, Woo Hyun performed A Song for You. Everyone was dancing and singing with him – “I can sing for my love, I can dance with the light, I can dream for my life. I can sing for my love, I can dance with the light, I can dream for my life, this is A song for you.” ♫
He concluded the show with his song, Smile while waving goodbye and throwing heart signs at everyone.
It’s my first time seeing Nam Woo Hyun in the flesh, and I am so happy to finally meet him. As a K-pop fan girl, it all started with Infinite, and they will always have a special place in my heart. Having the chance to meet another member (aside from L) again was a dream come true for me. My high school self is very happy. I hope someday, I get the chance to meet them as a whole group and witness their live performances.
It was a night full of precious, memorable moments. Thank you, Namu, for making us all happy. You are such an inspiration to all of us. We love you! Until we meet again!
