BOYNEXTDOOR knocks on Filipino fans’ hearts during their “KNOCK ON VOL. 1” concert in Manila

The six-member boy group, BOYNEXTDOOR, returns to the Philippines to meet their Filipino fans, ONEDOORs, once again for their first-ever solo concert “KNOCK ON VOL. 1” in the Smart Araneta Coliseum last March 22, 2024!

BOYNEXTDOOR previously went to the country for the Asia Artist Awards in 2023.

Starting with “Earth, Wind, and Fire,” BOYNEXTDOOR was met with loud cheers by the audience that proved how long-awaited their concert was.

From lively, upbeat songs like “But Sometimes,” “One and Only,” “Fadeaway,” and “Nice Guy,” to chill, mellow songs like “Call Me,” “20,” and “Amnesia,” BOYNEXTDOOR showed their impressive live vocal and dance skills on top of their enticing stage presence and charm.

Throughout the concert, BOYNEXTDOOR was amazed at the Filipino fans’ enthusiastic responses and cheerful sing-alongs to their performances. Jaehyun mentioned that his parents came to the show, and shared that he was proud of ONEDOOR’s energy that he could show to them.

At one part of the show, the members went down the stage to interact with the fans closer, while also waving and acknowledging the audience in the upper sections. The fans also had a great time during the “karaoke” session where they sang “But I Like You.”

One highlight of the night was the group’s “SKIT” segment where Jaehyun spoke in Filipino and the members showed some freestyle dancing. But even prior and after this corner, all members were prepared with their Filipino expressions like “gusto kita,” “masaya kami makita kayo” and “edi wow” that lifted the fans’ spirits.

Meanwhile, Filipino ONEDOORs also prepared a surprise for BOYNEXTDOOR, consisting of a video project that showcased some fan art and clips of fans singing and dancing to “If I Say, I Love You,” as well as a house-shaped hand banner that contains the message “BOYNEXTDOOR, let’s enter the door to paradise!” After watching the video, the members looked very touched and expressed their gratitude to the fans.

As the concert came to an end with “Serenade” and “So let’s go see the stars,” the Filipino audience left BOYNEXTDOOR with a lasting impression as they sang their hearts out and made their voices heard. But it turns out the boys weren’t ready to leave yet either, as they went back out on the stage to sing “But I Like You” again for the last time that night.
