Jackson Wang tells his story in new song “High Alone” in preparation for “MAGIC MAN 2” album!

Jackson Wang released a new single “High Alone” on February 21, 2025. This serves as the first look at his upcoming “MAGIC MAN 2” album which is set to be released this 2025. Its official music video surpassed 1.7 million views in its first week and is available on all streaming platforms.

Making of his music video
He said he never wrote a song for himself that’s why he took a year off to write everything, and reflect on his life, and artistry. He added that every song in MAGIC MAN 2 is like a personal diary to him.
Jackson also shared that, “The deepest wounds are often not from your enemies.” “High Alone” is co-written by him and it reveals a more vulnerable side of his artistry. Aside from themes of vulnerability, loneliness, and heartbreak, it also showed a deeper look at Jackson’s personal struggles and growth for the past years.
This song is the introduction of tone and mood, what is Magic Man, and its purpose. It’s the most authentic and honest story of himself. Jackson expressed that in life there are a lot of good and bad things, and that’s all meant to happen. It’s the result of who we are now.

Directed by Nono and Rodrigo, its music video tackled the symbolism of isolation and emotional vulnerability. It showed how Jackson performed a daring escape artist trick in front of an eager crowd while the tension on the screen mirrors his inner struggle for freedom and connection. With his many desperate attempts to get out, the crowd’s eventual abandonment underscores the emotional weight of rejection and loneliness. This poignant imagery amplifies the track’s themes, highlighting the harsh reality of facing inner demons alone.
