Awich features rap powerhouses across five Asian countries on new track, “Asian State Of Mind”

The queen of Japanese Hip-Hop, Awich, makes a global mark with her new single, “Asian State of Mind.” The song is in the format of a relay cypher track that includes four rappers from different countries in Asia.

After making her debut as the first Japanese rapper to ever perform at Coachella in 2024, Awich has been proving herself to be a formidable presence. Joining forces with some of the best in the game, “Asian State of Mind” features Korean rapper Jay Park, hip-hop star KR$NA from India, leader Masiwei of Chinese hip-hop group Higher Brothers, and the Cambodian hero VannDa.

The release of the track is followed by a monumental music video that features all the iconic rappers. “Asian State of Mind” aims to inspire viewers around the world by expressing the unity, grandeur, and strength of Asia.

Awich, an Okinawa-born artist, has a fierce devotion to her heritage and homeland which is also an inspiration for her. With her extraordinary personality and forward-thinking musicianship, she uplifts her community while fearlessly speaking her truth. In 2007, she produced her first full-length album, “Asia Wish Child.” Her 2022 album “Queendom,” reached #1 overall in the Apple Albums. In 2023, she released “THE UNION” while on her first nationwide Zepp tour and even held her first one-man sold-out live performance “Queendom – THE UNION – at K-Arena Yokohama.”

Last month, Awich dropped “Frontiers,” the opening track for the second season of “Shangri-La Frontier.” Prior to this project, she released “Are you serious?” for the Netflix drama “The Queen of Villains,” held a landmark performance at Nippon Budokan, had a viral hit with “Bad B*tch Bigaku,” and held a performance at the first iteration of Rolling Loud Thailand in 2024 alongside artists like Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert, and many more.
