Hwang In Youp started his career in the entertainment industry as a model in 2017. The following year, he embarked on his acting career and starred in a web series, WHY, and since then, he has never failed to impress everyone with his seamless acting and has shown it in various dramas he worked in. Hwang In Youp plays the role of Park Dan Ho, Cha Yool Moo’s loyal right-hand man with exceptional sword skills. Despite being the supporting role in this series, In Youp’s charm and his impeccable skill in acting captivated the hearts of many. Park Dan Ho marks Hwang In Youp’s debut role in a television series.

2. Goo Ja Sung (18 Again)

18 Again, it tells the story of a married couple, Jung Da Jung and Hong Dae Young, who face difficulties in their marriage life. One day, Hong Dae Young mysteriously transforms into his 18-year-old self and attends Serim High School, where his son and daughter study; he eventually starts to realize the reason why his family starts to crumble.

Hwang In Youp transforms into a high school student named Goo Ja Sung. He is known for his aggressive personality in school, but his soft side shows when he starts to develop feelings for Hong Shi Ah. The confession scene when he sings K-Will’s My Heart is Beating is very memorable to me.

3. Han Seo Jun (True Beauty)

True Beauty revolves around the story of Lim Ju Kyung, who always has low self-esteem because of her appearance and is bullied because of it. To gain confidence, she goes to school and starts to wear make-up. She then gets involved with Lee Su Ho and Han Seo Joon.

Okey Dokey Yo! Han Seo Jun, the character who made In Youp rose to stardom. It’s a remarkable role because he gave us the “Second Lead Syndrome.” His tough-looking personality outside but loving and softie inside made us fall in love with him. Plus, his cutie side in dancing Okey Dokey is something so attractive about him in this series.

4. Gong Chan (Why Her)

Why Her depicts the painful and heartwarming love story of Oh Soo Jae and Gong Chan. 

In Youp plays Gong Chan, a warm-hearted freshman student at Seojoong University’s Law School who has a painful past. He reaches out to Oh Soo Jae after her downfall and makes her realize what love is and will do anything for her. In Youp’s role here is one of the most admirable roles he played.

5. Na Il Deung (The Sound of Magic)

The Sound of Magic is a fantasy music webtoon-based drama that depicts the story of a mysterious magician who lives in an abandoned theme park and crosses his path with a girl named Yoon Ah Yi, who wants to become an adult to have a stable job and a wealthy and gifted student named Na Il Deung.

Na Il Deung is the character played by Hwang In Youp here. I love how he pulled off his role here, and his song, I Mean It, is one of my favorite songs in this series. He is such a multi-talented artist who can act and sing!

6. Kim San Ha (Family by Choice)

Family by Choice is a Korean remake of the 2020 Chinese drama, Go Ahead that revolves around three youths who are not related in blood but treat each other like a family. They have different scars caused by their families and find solace in each other’s company. It is a story about family, friendship, and romantic love.

Hwang In Youp plays Kim San Ha. He is cold outside but a warm and loving person inside. His role here made me fall head over heels for him! He is so charming that made my heart flutter every time I see him on screen. I love all his roles, but I think I will put Kim San Ha on my top list. He is the perfect green flag!
