6 Jung Hae In roles that we love
Jung Hae In is one of the top stars of his generation. With numerous and versatile roles he played, he has a wide range of filmography that anyone can be proud of.
Be it in dramas or movies, he played roles in different genres, such as action, romance, and comedy. He proved that he can pretty much do anything and will accept any role he is given. With his dedication and craft as an actor, he was able to give life to different characters and personalities that we all loved.
Jung Hae In celebrated his 11th year in the industry this year, so without further ado, let’s talk about his roles that we loved!
Han Woo Tak in While You Were Sleeping (2017)
Jung Hae In played the second lead in the 2017 hit drama. But he’s not just a regular second lead. He never tried to steal the girl and was content with their friendship. He is so loveable, which makes you think that it’s alright to have second leads in dramas because their one-sided love adds so much color to the story.
You can also commend the friendship that Han Woo Tak has with Nam Hong Joo (played by Bae Suzy).
Captain Yoo Jung Woo in Prison Playbook (2017-2018)
Captain Yoo in the drama Prison Playbook was described as a scary and ruthless captain in the military. With Jung Hae In’s soft aura, you would think how he would portray this character.
And indeed, Jung Hae In delivered!
As I was watching this drama, I could sense his authoritative aura which will make you scared of him. I must say, he perfectly portrayed this role and made it look like he is Captain Yoo.
Aside from his role as Captain Yoo, Jung Hae In was also able to build great chemistry with the other actors which you can see as they act.
Seo Joon Hee in Something in the Rain (2018)
Seo Joon Hee is Jung Hae In’s first leading role and I must say, he did an amazing job!
In this noona romance drama, I can really feel the love that Joon Hee has for Yoon Jin Ah (played by Son Ye Jin).
Jung Hae In perfectly portrayed Joon Hee who is in love and is willing to fight for his love for Jin Ah. When he cries, you can feel his pain. When he laughs, you can see his happiness.
This drama also earned him the title “Melodrama King“ and the start of him starring in more melodramas.
Hyun Woo in Tune in for Love (2019)
Tune in for Love is one of my favorite Korean movies and I am so happy that Jung Hae In played the lead role.
The movie starts off showing Hyun Woo’s difficult life and his hardship and that despite all that, he was able to find the love of his life. In every scene he is separated from Mi Soo (played by Kim Go Eun), and I can truly feel his pain and longing. His eyes speak of the sadness that he is feeling.
As an actor, Jung Hae In understands each role he plays which is why he is always one with this character. He understands them better than anyone else and through that, he is able to convey those feelings flawlessly. His role as Hyun Woo is one of his roles that could perfectly explain his craft as an actor.
Lim Soo Ho in Snowdrop (2021-2022)
Snowdrop is a perfect example of action and romance in a drama. Jung Hae In as the brave soldier Lim Soo Ho is someone you’ll definitely fall for no matter who he is!
Jung Hae In perfectly portrayed a person who wants to fight for what is right and to protect the people he loves. He also showcased his amazing fighting skills in this drama!
Choi Seung Hyo in Love Next Door (2024)
After doing so many professions in his past drama, Jung Hae In now plays an architect! After doing different genres in the past, Jung Hae In now starred in his first rom-com drama!
Jung Hae In perfectly portrayed the charismatic and adorable Choi Seung Hyo. He has amazing chemistry with Jung So Min as well, and all their fighting and bickering scenes felt real. But most importantly, their romantic scenes are very much swoon-worthy!
