AO EXCLUSIVE: BINI and Club Penshoppe members share thoughts on Penshoppe and its “ICONIC” collection
Penshoppe has officially launched their “Be Your Own Icon” campaign, and BINI have been revealed as their brand new endorsers! During the event held at The Fifth at Rockwell, Makati, Penshoppe gave a glimpse of their newest “ICONIC” collection through an exciting launch party.

According to Brand Director Brandon Liu, Penshoppe’s latest collection was inspired by their desire “to empower customers to reclaim their uniqueness and show that off in how they dress.” He added, “After all, true icons are those who define themselves by their character, confidence, and way of living.”
Chief Product Officer Cisco Droege shared that Penshoppe is constantly taking steps “to bridge global trends with local culture, all while ensuring that [their] customers are seen and heard.”

After a fashion show and a sneak peek of BINI’s music video for their new track “ICON,” the girl group appeared to model each of their Penshoppe outfits and exclusively perform their latest song live at the venue.
When asked what it was like during their campaign shoot for Penshoppe, BINI Mikha said, “It was just so fun because everyone was so welcoming. They didn’t make it feel as if it was work. We were just playing around.”

On how it felt to be Penshoppe ambassadors, BINI Aiah shared that they were “extremely happy, grateful, and excited” as they’ve always known Penshoppe since they were younger.
“Every time we go to a Penshoppe store, for me, personally, I get so excited. And I hoard items, especially for Christmas. That’s when I give them Penshoppe items. So, it’s just so cool that, now, we are representing Penshoppe,” she said.

“Penshoppe caters to every one kahit anong age, mapa-bata o matanda,” BINI Jhoanna added.
Meanwhile, members of Club Penshoppe also shared their thoughts about fashion, Penshoppe as a brand, and their personal experiences through interviews with the press.



Q. What’s the best thing about being a Penshoppe ambassador?
Cassy Legaspi answered “being able to represent a really good local brand,” as she thinks that Penshoppe really delivers in their products and the quality of their clothes. She shared that she loves how Penshoppe is always up-to-date and very innovative, and how the quality gets better every season.
For her, “Penshoppe is really unique because it hits all the perfect aspects of clothing brands” such as in terms of style, structure or shape, and comfort.
Julia Barretto shared that she’s proud of being a Penshoppe ambassador because she feels like it represents her daily style. For her, Penshoppe is an ever-growing brand that listens, observes, and keeps on evolving and learning. “That’s what I really love about Penshoppe – they hear us,” she said.
Q. What Penshoppe item describes your love and life right now?
Cassy Legaspi answered Penshoppe’s white polo because it’s “very simple, free, and elegant.” Darren Espanto chose Penshoppe’s windbreakers and varsity jackets because “you can wear it anywhere, it’s versatile.” He shared that in terms of singing and dancing, he can wear it on stage, on Showtime, and even on a casual night out.
Q. What matters more: aesthetics or comfort?
Darren Espanto shared that he’s more into aesthetics because he likes to be stylish when outside, always looking put-together and neat, but also said that aesthetics and comfort can still go hand in hand. Julia Barretto chose comfort because she thinks that feeling comfortable with what one wears is a non-negotiable. Cassy Legaspi picked aesthetic, stating “If I think I look good, then automatic, I feel good.”
Q. Who’s your favorite or bias among past/present Korean Penshoppe endorsers?
Julia Barretto said that Han So Hee was her favorite actress and that she became a fan of K-drama because of her. “I wish I had met her when she was still with Penshoppe,” she added. Darren Espanto chose Lisa of BLACKPINK since he’s a K-pop fan. Cassy Legaspi answered BLACKPINK’s Lisa, sharing that she bought everything the K-pop star wore. She also mentioned Han So Hee as she’s her favorite Korean actress.
Q. What underrated Penshoppe item would you recommend?
Darren Espanto mentioned Penshoppe’s room spray, sharing that bamboo is one of his personal favorites. “A lot of people know Penshoppe for fashion, but their room spray also has different scents,” he said. Cassy Legaspi chose Penshoppe’s crop tees, praising about how she feels that it’s perfectly cropped. “Their jackets too, because they’re very comfy but very structured,” she added.
Overall, the event successfully showcased Penshoppe’s powerful “Be Your Own Icon” campaign and their highly anticipated collaboration with BINI.
Key personalities, celebrities, and influencers came to show support for Penshoppe’s launch party. Filipino boy group New:ID also graced the event.
