PH fans reunite and create wonderful “Moments with Ji Chang Wook” at his BENCH fan meeting in Manila!
Following Ji Chang Wook‘s “Reach You” fan meeting in Manila in 2022, PH fans got LOVESTRUCK again with Ji Chang Wook’s charm and talent during his Bench “Moments with Ji Chang Wook” fan meeting in Manila held at Smart Araneta Coliseum last August 4.
After almost 2 years of waiting for Ji Chang Wook, his Filipino fans once again created wonderful “Moments with Ji Chang Wook”.
Opening Performance
Fans were very ecstatic when Ji Chang Wook entered the stage serenading the crowd with his song, Kissing You, one of the OSTs of his web series, 7 First Kisses. I am so happy that I got to hear this song live, it’s one of my favorite songs of his. Filipino fans warmly welcomed him with loud cheers, saying I love You in three different languages, English, Filipino, and Korean.
He greeted the fans and said, “After such a long time I was able to come back here in the Philippines and meet my Filipino fans as well so thank you so much for warmly welcoming me.”
The fan meeting initially started by showing behind-the-scenes of his latest photoshoot with Bench. Ji Chang Wook shared that it was a fun shoot and the post-production of this shoot was beautiful so he was satisfied with the outcome of it and said that he had mixed emotions about this video as well.
About the fit and design of Bench, he mentioned that it fits perfectly with his lifestyle since he is an active person and he likes wearing casual styles of clothing. “Because of Bench, I was able to meet my Filipino fans as well that’s why I am very grateful for Bench,” Ji Chang Wook said.
When Sam Oh, the host of the event, asked him what he missed about his fans he answered, “Everything about the Filipino fans. I feel very grateful that there are fans in the Philippines who warmly welcome me and the fans that I can meet whenever I go here. I am grateful that I have the opportunity as well to come to the Philippines.”
Ji Chang Wook’s precious interactions with PH fans
Lucky fans got the chance to interact with him through various segments. In the segment called “Healer,” Wookie listened to his fans’ questions and gave advice. One fan is shy when meeting new people around her so Wookie advised her to be herself and find people who love her and that she doesn’t need to try hard to impress other people. “It’s more than enough that you are being yourself. That’s what is important,” he pointed out.
What I like the most is his advice to a fan who is always scared that when she falls in love, her partner might betray her. He answered it and said, “I think that you are not supposed to meet those people who give you the fear of being rejected. I believe it’s better that you love someone who makes you feel comfortable, who you trust the most, and who cares about you.” It was touching advice Wookie!
In the segment called “Welcome to the Philippines,” fans will have the chance to do the aegyo pose with Ji Chang Wook and complete a heart sign pose on camera. Through this segment, we heard him say some Filipino phrases such as, “bagay tayo”, “gusto kita”, “ang sweet mo”, “cute mo ngumiti”, “kumusta ka”, “punta ka sa Korea”, and “mahal kita.” He is the cutest!
Ji Chang Wook also granted wishes from his fans which were written on sticky notes in the segment “If You Wish Upon Me.” Lastly, three lucky fans had the opportunity to reenact some scenes from Lovestruck in the City, The Worst of Evil, and Welcome to Samdal-ri with Ji Chang Wook on stage.
Message to Filipino fans
Ji Chang Wook’s Filipino fans prepared a special video message for him which touched his heart. After that, the crowd along with Ji Chang Wook sang the song, Laundry by Lee Juck.
He delivered his final message and said, “I am very happy that it was a fun fan meeting. I think I gained a lot of strength because you guys loved it also. I also realized that I would really love to have more opportunities as well to come back to the Philippines and meet you more often. I hope you look forward to my shows as well. I love you and thank you so much.”
Ji Chang Wook wrapped up the fan meeting by performing the song, Even Though I Loved You and I’ll Protect You. He has such a sweet and lovely voice!
We would like to thank Bench for making this event possible. We are so happy to meet Wookie again in the flesh. We are once again swooned by his charm and talent and because of this event, we created another wonderful moment with Ji Chang Wook that we will treasure for a very long time.

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook has his recently released film, Revolver. He has also an upcoming Disney+ series, Gangnam B-side, and will be making a special appearance in the series, The Queen Woo. He also revealed that starting next month, he will begin to shoot his upcoming series, Sculpture City. He is such a hardworking person!
