BTOB’s Yook Sungjae unveils 1st single album “EXHIBITION: Look Closely”
BTOB’s Yook Sungjae is back with his 1st single album “EXHIBITION: Look Closely”! This marks his 1st official release as a soloist after 4 years since he released the special album “YOOK O’clock” in 2020.
The “EXHIBITION: Look Closely” album sends the message of looking at something closely in order to find its true beauty, with each track expressing the various stories that Sungjae wants to tell.
The title track “BE SOMEBODY” is an emo indie-pop song with a catchy trap-style beat, addictive guitar riff, and powerful vocals from Sungjae. It conveys hope of finding one’s way after experiencing dark nights.
Yook Sungjae participated in writing the lyrics for “BE SOMEBODY,” adding his sincerity to the song.
Overall, the album contains 3 songs including “Without You” which is about coolly breaking up because of dishonest love, and “The Ghost” which is about wanting to forget a loved one but failing to do so.
Through this album, Yook Sungjae plans to reveal new sides of himself and show off different charms as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, Sungjae is set to hold his “Look Closely” fan meeting in Taipei in June.
