One of my favorite pastimes was finding new music to listen to. Growing up, I was surrounded by music enthusiasts such as my grandparents. Every Sunday, my grandfather would play his music really loudly so that I would wake up to the feel of the music reverberating through the walls. Sadly, I was not musically gifted, but my passion for music never faded.
I discovered SHAUN when I was listening to BTS’ Soundcloud music, specifically “네시 (4 O’CLOCK)”. I realized that SHAUN was credited for the sound arrangement, and then I realized that I had actually listened to one of his songs before, “Way Back Home”. This piqued my interest and I decided to check out the rest of his songs.
SHAUN’s genre consists of electronic music, indie rock, and indie pop. If these are your type of songs, let me give you a few personal favorites from his discography!
Bad Habits
The steady beat and repetition of synths make this song very catchy. Also, a good song to add to a break-up or heartbreak playlist!
More Than Words
This song is a part of the “DINNER MATE” soundtrack. The calm beat of the song makes it a good backdrop if you want to be productive. Admittedly, this song is a part of my ‘get productive’ playlist.
Shooting Star
There’s a dreamlike quality to this song that makes you feel like you are in a coming-of-age story. It’s a relaxing song to play in the background if you ever need to calm down.
Closed Ending
A melancholic song talking about the sad acceptance of a relationship ending. Good for those moments when you just feel like you are in a senti mood.
Road
A perfect song to close your eyes to, and just let your imaginations run wild. It sounds like something that would be used as an ending song for an animation.
Steal The Show
This song was performed in English and features Jeff Satur. Whenever I hear this song, it makes me feel like I can conquer anything. The music video is also amazing!
Easy
Another English song, and another good addition to that break-up playlist. It is laidback compared to the previous song.
