Korean film ‘Exhuma’ opens strong at number 1, coming to Philippine cinemas!
The mystery occult film “Exhuma” debuted in Korean cinemas last February 22 and it opened strong at number 1 at the Korean box office. “Exhuma” held on its top spot on its opening weekend making it the biggest opening record in Korea for 2024 so far.
Before its cinema debut, “Exhuma” recorded a pre-sale number of 54% real-time reservation rate and a total of 369.99 million advance bookings.
On February 26, the Korean Film Council reported that “Exhuma” recorded a total of 2,299,706 moviegoers since its opening on February 22. In just four days in the cinema, the film surpassed an impressive feat of 2 million moviegoers.
Directed by Jang Jaehyun and with a star-studded casting composed of Choi Min Shik, Kim Go Eun, Yoo Hae Jin, and Lee Do Hyun, “Exhuma” follows the story of two talented shamans named Hwa Rim (played Kim Go Eun) and Bong Gil (played by Lee Do Hyun) together with the top-notch geomancer Sang Deok (played by Choi Min Shik) and mortician (played by Yoo Hae Jin) who are tasked to find a mysterious grave. Without them knowing, they would unleash an evil force buried underneath.


“Exhuma” is coming to Philippine cinemas on March 20!
