Let’s get to know ‘Genius Idol’ Byun Baekhyun!
BAEKHYUN, a member of the K-pop boy group EXO, is known and beloved by many. Early this year, he was announced to be one of BENCH‘s brand ambassadors, and held his concert in Araneta Coliseum!
Being one of BENCH’s new ambassadors, let us get to know him more!
A mesmerizing performer
BAEKHYUN, real name Byun Baekhyun, was born on May 6, 1992. He debuted as a member of EXO and its sub-unit EXO-K. He can wield the power of light.
He is also a part of subunit EXO-CBX, and was the leader of the SM supergroup, SuperM. He also promotes as a soloist and he recently released his fourth Korean mini-album, “Hello, World.”
On October 23, 2023, Baekhyun debuted in virtual boyband HEARTSTEEL with their song “Paranoia”.
He is respected by many idols and has been praised for his versatility in performing. Even so, he shares that he still takes vocal lessons after all these years to continue improving his craft. His dedication is admirable!
Exceptional fashion icon
Baekhyun’s soft features and creativity make him a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world. Last July 1, 2018, he became a co-creative director of Privé after releasing “Privé by BBH”, a unisex street-wear brand.
He is also a brand ambassador of Burberry, beauty brand TirTir, and health food brand Life Pharm. In the Philippines, he is one of BENCH‘s brand ambassadors.
Liveliest EXO member
Baekhyun loves spending time with his fellow members. Whether it’s by playing games or taking baths with them, he has done it. He is not afraid to share some of his experiences with them, even!
He is also such a joy to be around with, there is never a dull moment with him. In the second season of EXO Arcade, he managed to make the game of Werewolf as chaotic as it possibly could be!
He also loves spoiling future releases for his fans. In the past, he always dropped clues about future projects and has even outright spoiled his album tracks in one of his livestreams.

As EXO-Ls are aware, Baekhyun loves us very much. He is never afraid to show and tell fans how much they mean to him. He usually does spaces on X or does livestreams on Instagram to talk to fans. In fact, sometimes he will go online just to show gratitude to his dear EXO-Ls!
