A Dazzling Debut

Johnny made a splash in the acting scene with his debut in the 2016 romantic web drama, “Addicted.” The series, portraying love stories of high school boys, quickly became a sensation, amassing 10 million views within a day of its release. However, it faced challenges due to its homosexual content and was eventually banned. Despite the setback, Johnny’s talent had already shone through.

Undeterred by challenges, Johnny ventured into cinema with “Guns and Kidneys,” China’s first zombie-themed black humor film. This marked his big-screen debut, showcasing his versatility and willingness to explore diverse roles.

The year 2021 brought global recognition as Swiss company Bally appointed Johnny Huang as its global brand ambassador, a first for a Chinese figure. This underlined not just his acting prowess but also his international appeal.

In 2017, he was honored at the “15th Strait Youth Forum” and received the title of “The Messenger of Youth Cultural Exchange between Fujian and Taiwan.” His commitment to cultural exchange was further solidified when he was appointed as the youth ambassador of the 13th Asian Film Awards in January 2019.
