Early Career

Yeseo’s early career was marked by her foray into acting at a young age. Back in 2010, she stepped onto the screen with a supporting role in the MBC drama “Golden Fish.” Simultaneously, she joined the kid’s girl group CutieL, which marked her entrance into the world of music and entertainment.

Her popularity began to soar in 2013 after her role in the film “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” where she portrayed Choi Ji-Yeon. Her fame reached new heights when her portrayal included a Sailor Moon backpack, contributing to Sailor Moon’s surge in popularity within Korea. This was just the beginning of Yeseo’s acting journey, as she continued to impress with her versatile performances in nearly 20 dramas.

Girls Planet 999 and Kep1er

A significant turning point in Yeseo’s career came with her participation in the Mnet survival show “Girls Planet 999.” Following intense competition, she secured the 6th spot with a remarkable total of 770,561 points in the final episode. This achievement earned her a well-deserved spot in the final group lineup.

On January 3, 2022, Kang Yeseo took another giant leap as she officially debuted as a member of Kep1er. The release of their first EP, ‘First Impact,’ marked her entrance into the world of K-pop in earnest.
