Disney+ reveals voice cast for Japanese anime series, ‘PHOENIX: EDEN17’
After seven years, the highly anticipated story of “Phoenix: Nostalgia”, created by “God of Manga” Osamu Tezuka, has been brought to life for global audiences in PHOENIX: EDEN17 as shared by Disney+ on July 21.
The said anime series starred the voices of Rie Miyazawa as Romi; Yosuke Kubozuka as George; Honoka Yoshida as Com, and Issey Oagata as Zudarban, a space merchant.

PHOENIX: EDEN17 will take viewers on an extraterrestrial adventure with Romi and her partner George as they flee Earth for a new start on Eden17.
However, things aren’t what they expected when they arrived and discovered a desolate frontier unfit for human life. Romi ends up entering her malfunctioning hibernation pod. She awakened 1,300 years later in a city built by the descendants of her son, Cain.
Despite being treated like a queen, Romi still felt alone. She resolves to return to Earth in the hopes of finding solace amongst the stars.
Moreover, it is directed by director Shojiro Nishimi, who also directed Tekkonkinkreet and Mutafukaz, and is produced by STUDIO4℃.
It also features character design by chief animation director Tatsuzou Nishita, and art directed by Shinji Kimura with music from popular composer Takatsugu Muramatsu.
PHOENIX: EDEN17 set to air on September 13, only on Disney+.
