Park Bo Gum confirmed to join the Navy this August 31

UPDATE: Park Bo Gum’s agency, Blossom Entertainment has confirmed the news and released an official statement regarding the actor’s enlistment:

“Hello. This is Blossom Entertainment. We are announcing that our actor, Park Bo Gum has been accepted to the Naval Culture Promotion Foundation and will join the Navy this August 31, 2020.
He will finish filming his movie, “Wonderland” and drama, “Record of Youth” before enlisting. We ask for your continuous support to Park Bo Gum to finish his enlistment in good health. Thank you.”

Another oppa will temporarily bid farewell to us soon.

According to Yonhap News, Actor Park Bo Gum is expected to join the Navy’s military band upon enlisting this August.

Last month, Bo Gum applied to join the military band and honor guard unit. He went through a performance test and interview exam to join the said unit.

Park Bo Gum will join the Navy this August 31. He will undergo his basic military training in Navy Education and Training Command Center in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province. Afterward, he will head on to Greryong to complete his service.

Aside from his acting roles, Bo Gum will also release a solo song for his fans before enlisting.
