It’s been 70 years since the anniversary of the Korea and the Philippines’ bilateral relations. Korean Tourism Organization (KTO), together with the regional tourism organization from Korea: Gwangju Tourism & Convention Bureau, Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture & Tourism Organization, Jeju Tourism Organization and Jeollabuk-do Province, showcased the best of Korea’s autumn and winter season in a three-day event title: #LoveKOrea Culture and Travel Fiesta last October 4-6, 2019.
Korean delegates presented their provinces, initiated fun games, hanbok fitting and quizzes to the people who attended the event. Some exhibitors also handed out tourist brochures and giveaways to invite them in their provinces.
D-Day of the Travel Fair and Lee Dong Wook’s Fan Meet
The first day of the event happened in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, with an event exclusive for KTO’s partners. The 2-day cultural and travel fair were held in Fashion Hall, SM Megamall.

The first day of the travel fair were filled with travelers and hallyu fans. The fair featured the rising K-Pop group, Target and Korean actor, Lee Dong Wook. KTO’s Executive Director, Kim Manjin and KTO Manila Director, Jo Joon Kil was also present during event. Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism, Sue Ramirez was also present on the event.
Target graced the dance floor with their performances and has received warm welcome from their fans.
The highlight of the event was a fanmeeting with the Goblin star, Lee Dong Wook. He came back to Manila after 13 years to meet his fans.
Day 2 and Event Closure
The second day of the event featured Filipino actor, Alden Richards. Richards shared his recent trip to Korea, where he received the Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2019. Actress Janice de Belen, a KPop and KDrama fan also shared here favorite moments during the event.
Concluding the event were beautiful performances from Kristel Fulgar, CJ Navato, and Jinho Bae.
